| It’s a kids movie. The main characters are middle schoolers. The movie is much more fantasy oriented and stuff. The romance seems to be very Ghibli? If you have watched movies from this studio then you know what I meant. If your question is “But is there any romance in the movie?” Well yes, I guess. Is it Super Shoujo or more detailed and definitive? No, it’s what you would expect from a kids movie. I think you should watch it for the other genres as well. It’s a good movie and you’re not really waisting too much of your time if you actually decide to watch it. I am sorry I am really trying to explain without giving you Spoilers and ruining your enjoyment from it. |

| It's not that they are already getting married or something like that...they are still young and probabably it's their first love. The romance is definitely a big part of the movie but I think there there are other parts more worth mentioning. Still totally worth a watch |

Of course it's their first love. Literally 99% of romance anime is about first love. |

| It's ultimately cute. Obviously at the beginning Muge is stalker-ish and is kinda uncomfortable but the way it both parties' motivations and thought processes are expanded is done well and resolved nicely. I usually don't prefer romances that conclude at a confession without a glimpse of what their life is afterwards, but it's the best outcome for this movie. |
| It's not really a movie you'd watch for the romance. Nothing really happens between them in the end, which I didn't expect because of their ages. It's just cute crushes. |
