| Somehow I wanted to know a bit more about the backstory of Emilia, but this feels very drawn out somehow. Also quite confusing, no idea who Pandora is, but apparently she killed Emilia's parents? |

And one more thing the anime skipped in the previous episodes, you might find interesting. Wait, was I supposed to know who was behind that seal? Because I don't remember that being stated anywhere, or maybe I just missed it in the anime. The LN content that got skipped also seems quite relevant to understand the whole story, why would they skip that? It's certainly more interesting than a lot of the other stuff they talked about in this season. Thanks again for responding, certainly makes me understand things a bit more :3 |

| emilia's past within the trial continues and this episode makes you feel for emilia more than you already did. very tragic past and you can definetely see how having to relive this and face it in the trial has broken her so many times. but, it's all but inevitable that she'll pass the trial this time and based on the set up, it looks like this next episode may just be the last one covering emilia's past. hopefully it's a good one. |
| Man, seeing Emilia's past was just sad. One thing that I found interesting was the power system of this world. We have people like Subaru, Puck, Reinhard and probably all sorts of people out there with varying levels of power. It's scary how some differ in power so drastically. Anyways this was a depressing episode :( |

| They really didn't raise Emilia properly. Growing up all sheltered without being given any context means she has no idea what's going on or what she should and shouldn't do. |

| Betelgeuse opened what is essentially a Pandora's Box to fight Pandora then. This half of the season has a noticeable focus on flashbacks and backstories, but the plot was already moving along at a slow pace, so hopefully there's some progression in the present. |

| What a great episode! We saw the start of Geuse's madness and Fortuna's sacrifice. It's heartbreaking that Emilia has to endure the loss of two people who mean so much to her. Also, we finally got introduced to the last great mabeast—the Black Serpent. |
