Ok so let me start this off by saying the rating is entirely undeserved. The pacing so far has been pretty fast but still followable. But man they butchered Demizu's art so bad. The CGI monsters are ugly and the hunters are probably the biggest disappointment not to mention who designed the colors for them but besides the point. Other than those things I've been enjoying this season of TPN but cant say it lives up to the gift that was season 1.

On to the topic of the thread what the hell is up with the music choice. The ost is the ost and not the focus of this argument but man do the opening and ending not fit at all. The Kiro Akiyama rock/pop opening is ok but still feels more like its suited to a light hearted series than TPN. I know that season 2 is in its own way less gritty and dark than season one but come on man it doesnt fit. Now on to the biggest criminal in the room who picked Mahou as the ending like seriously who in their right mind thought putting a lo-fi pop as the ed for tpn which has a backstory involving human cattle and the one sided slaughter of children was a good idea seriously though this is almost worse than the guys putting electronic dance pop for moriarty the patriots ending. It just doesn't fit the theme, mood, setting or anything and I can't help but be off put by it. As someone who has been a fan of the TPN manga since it was at the end of the Grace Field arc and as someone who has listened to KiroAki and Eve for a while this is just sad to me. I know I should be grateful for even getting this and I am not to mention the opening and ending are good music in their own right its just why. Why pick those for TPN. For reference lets look back on the music for season 1. The opening with Touch Off works well in building up tension and setting the mood for season 1 with the ending complimenting that by giving a more low tension respite with an edge of unease. The music choice for season 1 was honestly amazing but when you look at season 2 after looking at that this is just-
Sigh thats the end of my piece if anyone else agrees or disagrees please feel free to unleash a paragraph down below because I really do want outside opinions on this topic.

Sincerely,
This idiot

The staff is still the same as season 1. There’s chapters skipped because the production team doesn’t want the anime to be slow pacing because there’s only 11 episode. The animation overall looks pretty good, if you compare s2 to s1. The animation didn’t go down. I agree that the cgi monster at episode 1 looks so bad. The cgi monster are like 60fps while the kids are hand drawn and are 15-24fps ; it feels weird lol.

The opening “identity” feels pretty much like a showdown between the kids and the demons. It fits more in the mood of the Goldy Pond arc.
The Goldy Pond arc is probably gonna be fully adapted this season or it’s gonna leave a cliffhanger. The op definitely doesn’t fit now because there’s no major action taking place. I did prefer the op to be like Touch off just like what you said above. But Identity is like giving you the hype vibe for the Goldy Pond arc.

Idk how to explain ending 3 “Mahou” by Myuk and Eve but it’s so good. I think it fits pretty well. I think it represents how Freedom is so beautiful... Yet so cruel.
Maybe there will be 2 ending this season 2 just like season 1.

If goldy pond is the focus of this season then yes ithe op fits well but man the ed just feels like something you'd find in a romcon. Don't get me wrong Mahou is lit but it just feels off to me with the mood of the show and besides that if its double ed im happy iwth that but yes i do get the pacing of it and im not gonna hold that against the show

Bruh, Mahou is one of the best endings i have ever heard.

well people have their opinions on music and its bound to differ my point is the only reason i was willing to look over mahou as the music choice was because it would fit with goldy pond but they kicked that out and nyoomed through the plot for very sensible business reasons
