| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- It's a Beautiful Day. This is an interesting one because the story is made entirely by the ending notes. The story itself is just a somewhat amusing anecdote but the background of it, the too late promise between friends to finish this story and ending apologies, it just makes the story seem all the more beautiful to me. I guess I see it more for the promise between friends than anything else, and I think there's a poignancy to that. And while it's not mentioned in the story, having read 20th Century Boys, it was nice to learn that main character Kenji Endou was named after his musician friend. |
