| I guess I'm curious to see what other fans of WIXOSS think of the upcoming season Personally I'm a bit afraid that the (what seems like) new setting and vibe of the show simply won't be able to live up to the story that was built over nearly 50 episodes of content and plot delivery of S1-4 Naturally people had similar worries before Lostorage aired and it turned out to be, in my opinion really satisfying sequel and a conclusion to the story But looking at the portfolio and MAL page of the new Director I can't help but worry Right now I'm just hoping that the idol setting and what looks like a happy spin of the game is just a bait and WIXOSS will remain the card game with a dark and gritty setting that we all grew to love and appreciate |
| At first, the anime was released alongside the anime and Lostorage was its direct sequel so the anime lived on its own and the TCG created things around. But with Diva(A)Live I got the feeling that it is quite the opposite, the anime is now an adaptation from the TCG and it doesn't try to link itself to the previous season. I'm pretty sure it won't be as good as the first seasons, but if you take it not as a sequel, but as an adaptation of a TCG, it's pretty enjoyable. |
| It's still possible for it to go dark, and stay true to what the series presented itself to be. If I remember correctly, the first episode of the original series wasn't dark. It was only when the series progressed, that we knew how dark it actually was. The first episode or two could just be a set up to then just flip the script and go completely dark.If it doesn't, then I suppose it'll be different for a WIXOSS series. I feel like people are judging the first episode too harshly, and forget like I said how the actual first episode of the WIXOSS series went. Plus if you think about it, WIXOSS in general is built upon this 'Ideal' that something YOU want can be granted, but they don't tell you it's deep secret. The same can happen here, start off as happy go lucky, but learn that everything is not the case type of deal. Something that this series is built upon. |

| The first episode was very good imo, it doesn´t need to be dark in order to be good. Maybe is different than previous seasons but I think you guys are exaggerating (5 mean score really?), this is no sequel. It´s a story set in the same universe but it seems different, and not bad. Personally I think it´s refreshing for the series and it hope it doesn´t get very dark or if it does don´t feel forced just to please fans (you guys should worry more about that lmao). |

| does not need to "live up to previous seasons" for me, because I got bored and dropped almost all the previous seasons except the first one. have already set aside fund to buy something from this, because I'm enjoying it. |
| As someone who enjoyed Selector WIXOSS series, and had mixed feelings about Lostorage, I have to say I think I'm gonna skip watching this one. It feels like they are dragging the WIXOSS title too much at this point just to promote the TCG, and it's not a pleasant view to look at. Selector was good and underrated, and it has been just gradually getting worse since then lol |
