| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Fling Posse's in real trouble, but the Secret Aliens has one more trick up their sleeve against the Party of Words: secretly escorting them out of Chuohku in the pretense of arrest. With the gathering of all 4 respective leaders, The Dirty Dawg is back in action (HELL YES), and a fair fight of a rap battle against the Secret Aliens. As if that's not enough, everyone else joining in the fight is the SPLENDID touch due to power imbalances. AND WOULD YA KNOW IT: The OP's 2nd verse and chorus, for a palpitation of power. So fast, and the Party of Words has a new successor. But despite that, all's well that ends well. The Dirty Dawg's troubles will have to be solved another day, I suppose. Finale ED: Rhyme Anima's Mixtape -Division Rap Battle- A very unique show that's worth the high-magnitude enjoyment from start to finish. |

| this has been one of the weirdest series' I think I've watched lul. So silly yet surprisingly quite entertaining. Like just the whole idea with the women controlling the government issue for whatever reason or the fact that crimes are literally committed through rap battles lmao Out of all the raps though, have to say the one at the very end where they all joined together had to have been the best one. Also feel like the animation doesn't get the credit it's due tbh, even if it did get repeated a bit Defo one of the more unique shows out there and it does seem like it hinted at a s2 so whoop di die Call of Duty: Microphone Warfare/10 |

| I enjoyed Hypmic a lot. The animation was good, I liked the songs as well. The plot was... well, it was something lol. It had pretty boys, good songs and animation. 6-7/10 |

| Hey, look, it's "the final battle", and finally there's energy to the words, they feel like they actually pack a punch. I dunno what the game is like, I imagine it makes a lot more sense with the HUD and all, but I've had this issue with the anime that all the pretty animations have zero impact, and in the end the other one is either left standing or collapsed on the ground. Without much of a transition in between. This all-stars scene was different at least; heck, it also sounded more like rap as opposed to simple... spoken the lyrics instead of singing them, like most others. If this was the game, I'd guess someone flipped the difficulty switch from easy to hard mode, it was rather distinct. As for the overarching plot... I dunno, it's kinda messy. I'm not even sure who's on which side anymore, and the creator guy at the end...lol. Probably all this is better cleaned up and revealed and explained later, but if the anime isn't getting a "later", we're just left in a pile of goo here. I'm actually not sure having a big "main story" in a franchise like this is a good idea at all, I don't think it takes itself seriously enough for that. Pretty, flashy visuals; character designs, personalities, interactions; and of course music and lyrics - those are the strengths, that's what it should focus on. Simple weekly "adventures" and shenanigans would serve that much better, the division battles as quasi championships would also be perfectly enough for a background. |
| A great way to finish off a great show, which is quite under-rated, from this season! Secret Aliens going against the The Dirty Dawg, I was really hoping for a reunion rap with the 4 of them! ^v^ Rest of the groups join in, causing the attack to be super powerful! I see you Nemu Loving how everything seems resolved, then all 4 groups start going head to head again lol. Great ED, loved how it summed up all the characters we've explored in this series, and had a great tune to it too! Rated as 7.5/10, but had a lot of fun. Hope there's another season! |
| I'm not too familliar with the other story sources, so this is probably not news to the fandom, but man my jaw dropped when they revealed that Rei is the man who developed the hypnosis microphone :O no wonder he's so disliked An entertaining last episode. The ending song is great. |

| The only thing I know is that I LOVED this last episode. I loved Secret Aliens and I loved Rei "introduction", maybe the anime skipped a lot of info from the mangas/cd dramas, but it was good enough. |

| Well, the reunion was expected. But using the op song and remixed it as a battle rap, unexpectedly hyping me. Its so good. Even though the last scene kinda suggested that this show might get a continuations. But, for me, its executed rather decreasing the mood toward the end, by using an excuse from their leader to cut off the battles out of nowhere. Oh well, what can i expect with the story elements, its very vagued with no other choices on it. At the end, its ended up as a mere introduction to the whole casts, and more importantly to the world building. I can even say that its underwhelming, but remain watchable only for their battle raps. Guess they just wanted the audiences to stick up with the source materials of these. Okay, then, like the others 'stick to the source materials' show at these season, i don't have any choice but to put this at my 6/10 for everything that happened. No bluff, no hate for that. Moving on! |

| Overall the series felt a little rushed to me, but as an avid hypmic fan i still really enjoyed it! loved how at the end Rei made an appearance and how they left so many opportunities for a second season!!! It would be so good if they made a second season and introduced dotsuitare hompo and bad ass temple members! :D |

| For this season they just established the plot and introduced the characters so, I am really hoping for a second season. I mean they teased a lot this episode, Nemu and then there's that dude that made the hypnosis mic. Overall that was a great ending, it's cool to see all of them work together and rap a modified version of the OP. I enjoyed the show so, I am giving it a 7/10 |

| That's it. Iris threw some bars in the end. This finale was worth it despite the notorious absurdity in the show's writing. Overall, I wasn't really a fan of this series. Episodes in which the characters were dedicated to solve cases and the like were extremely boring to watch, visuals were too saturated for my taste and the strongest point: the rap songs, weren't that good in most of the occasions. 3/10 - Would still watch a potential sequel tho. Mostly because I like Samatoki and I want to see how things will go with the whole issue regarding his sister. |
| Okay so the anime was kind of awful but I love Hypmic soooo much that it made me enjoy it regardless. I loved all the interactions between everyone. And I got super excited when Rei appeared. I can't wait for the other divisions to appear so I'm hoping for more seasons! I also liked all of the new songs. |
| fun rap anime, i rarely watch all male animes, but this one peaked my interest lol, favorite is cute Ramuda and i guess the other 3 leaders were also cool, as much as i thought he was cool, i didn't like how much Samatoki smokes...it annoyed me seeing him finishing one cigar and immediately starting another one every time lmao (yes i hate smokers.) the songs were ok, i'm not a big fan of trash talking but it was actually enjoyable here, definitely better than killing people with guns... speaking of Ramuda, does he ever use his normal voice? does anyone else even know about his voice (specially the other3 leaders)? i'll totally watch a 2ndseason think i'll go with a 7, just because it was fun, not exactly because i thought it was a great anime, but definitely more watchable than stuff i dropped/tried hard to finish... one of the few i would watch as soon as it was released, cause of how easy it is to watch (without either getting annoyed, or too eager to screenshot stuff LOL) |

| So the Secret Aliens help Fing Posse escape form Chuohku, but in exchange they want to fight against the division leaders. So The Dirty Dog is reunited to take on the Secret Aliens. It turns out that the Secret Aliens were a lot stronger than The Dirty Dog realize and that's when the supporting party for each group came in and with a combined effort of Buster Bros. MTC, Fling Posse, and Mantenro they finished of the Secret Aliens by doing the second verse of the OP. Meanwhile the Assistant Prime Minister tries to capture them again, but the Prime Minister told her back down. Speaking of the Prime Minister we see her having a conversation with a man named Rei Amayado also know as "Mastermind" and the third member of Dotsuitare Hompo from Osaka Division. He is also the one who created the Hypnosis Microphone and is working for the Party of Words which leads me to believe that he might be the main antagonist of the story. This anime was a hidden gem for me this season because I love music and Hypnosis Mic has got me to listen to Rap Music/Hip Hop in 2020. In the last couple of years I listened to nothing but Rock n' Roll, so this series is like a fresh take on Rap Music for me. Hopefully this series can reach out to people like me who are not fans of Hypnosis at first, but became fans overnight after watching the anime. If you want a deeper dive into story and characters of Hypnosis Mic, you have to check out the drama CD's and manga which are mostly translated into English. In fact there is more plot than the anime is letting on which was more of a advertisement for new fans. I would like to see a Season 2 of Hypnosis Mic since they baited us with the reveal of "Mastermind", but we would have to wait a while for a possible announcement since 2nd Division Rap Battle starts next month with Buster Bros. vs. Dotsuitare Hompo followed by Matenro vs. Bad Ass Temple(Nagoya Division) and MTC vs. Fling Posse. Please subscribe to their YouTube channel which has 929,000 subscribers and follow them on social media if you haven't already. | The four main groups get together, they fight the reporter group and then they all get let go... For reasons... Little Buster Bro seemed to an incriminating recording but it didn't seem like that was the reason. It was just "time to put a new plan into action". It was nice that lady reporter knows how to rap. After her introduction, where she sang rather than rapped, I was expecting more of that. Was that other dude rapping about dinosaurs, though? WTF? Is this a rap for 10 year olds? I can't remember what his rap was in the other episode... (checking: it had some animalistic flavor but it wasn't like The Dinosaur Rap or anything.) I like how the four groups combined and did an alternate version of the intro for their final rap. It was funny how it still ended with "Division Rap Battle", though, despite the fact that the DRB is over and was a trap to begin with. This was a fun show that stayed pretty simple even though it could have done more. Like, they spent 9 episodes just introducing the groups but none of the groups even had important stories or anything. They could have set up a political drama where the groups fight corruption using words both figuratively and literally but that never happens. It was also funny how they set this up like a matriarchy lording over some cute BL boys but they never really played that up. Overall, it didn't reach very far but it was entertaining for what it was. I'd give this one a 7/10. I'm a sucker for anything musical. |

| don't have much else to add, I agree with what others said. I do feel like being super critical of an anime like this is dumb though, like why would you take this kinda anime seriously?? Oh well. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the low score reviews for it As an anime-only who never has consumed any other Hypmic media, I was able to enjoy this for what it was, even though the plot was pretty meh. Definitely lots of set up for a second season. Be surprised if that doesn't happen, since I know how insanely popular Hypmic is in Japan. I was surprised how good the visuals were for all the rapping sequences, the CGI was noticeable sure, but it didn't look too bad. I think that's what really carried the anime and deserves the most praise. Yeah, it was completely non sensical, but I think is the animation quality hadn't been good for the rap sequences, then the anime woulda been a total dumpster fire. |

| The Legendary TDD reunited and then Division all stars, a perfect final episode. I wish they showed all the members of Dotsuitare Hompo. Anyway, the way it ended felt like there are high chances it'll have a second season soon, Can't Wait! |
| That was pretty underwhelming. I'm not gonna lie; I'm disappointed. This anime added nothing to the franchise and there were quite a few episodes that just felt completely bland. Having said that, if there was a season 2 I'd still watching it cause I like the franchise and I wanna see the two new groups animated. Speaking of the new groups... wasn't the dude with the Prime Minister Amayado from Dotsuitare Hompo? So he created the Hypnosis Mic eh? Interesting. |

| Honestly... I thought this was pretty good for what it was. I enjoyed watching every episode. I'm pretty impressed with how many new raps there were every week and how they were all of good quality (not that I know much about rap, let alone J-rap). Where the show fails is definitely with the plot, but I gave up on trying to understand that in episode 2. Character's backstories and interactions were a lot more interesting. I hope there's a season two given the big tease at the end. The HypMic franchise is really popular so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets one. |

| The plot was bad, the "rap" was abysmal, but 7/10 for pretty boys doing absurd nonsense. The existence of Ramuda almost took it down to a 5 for me but hopefully he dies in a sequel and we can be done with his stupid way of talking. In the non-anime songs do any of them get a sense of rhythm? |

| Um...Well it was an okay-anime to watch during for my indoor-cycling-time. Ikemens, good rap and didn't need my brain at all. If it wasn't for my workout time, I wouldn't have watched it. |

| What a great way to end the season. It seems the plot did kind of become relevant in the second half. It was cool how Ichijiku played a role. The whole female government thing was a cool idea. I loved that they rapped a different part of the opening song in this last episode instead of playing it in the beginning. Overall it was a very fun show. Great art, phenomenal OP, EDs and BGM, great rapping, diverse cast of characters. Consistent production overall, and the CGI was alright. Wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel of this, it seemed to be set up for one. 8/10 |

| 2 years later, and now deeply into the fandom, after rewatching this I can say that the manga is better, for sure. Although I still liked this, especially the visuals, I love seeing the animation for the rap battles. Also recognizing the songs got me excited (I even caught Ramuda humming "Drops") And I remember when I saw the anime for the first time, Rei really caught my eye in this episode... Now he's my favorite HypMic character! I still love Matenro but now I'm primarily a DotsuHon stan lol I sooo can't wait to watch the 2nd season, even if it's not that good, I want to see DH and BAT animated sooo bad! |
