| The author didn't need to go through this loophole for the JSDF to come to the aid of their allies. According to Wikipedia's page on Article 9 of the Japanese constitution: "In July 2014, Japan introduced a reinterpretation which gave more powers to its Self-Defense forces, allowing them to defend other allies in case of war declared upon them." So labeling them as insurgents was completely unnecessary. |
