| I really liked the chapter. The way Jun still mentally continued his conversations with Mr. Fahrenheit gave me a false hope that he'd still be alive. Mr. Fahrenheit gave a false age to make sure his lover didn't look bad. That made me really emotional. But the two lovers uniting in Jun's vision just destroyed me. I am so shocked that he was just a kid. Can't believe the parents tried to "fix" such a young kid. I didn't care much about the break up, though. They should have done that ages ago. Still, I love Jun and Miura's relationship. Actually, I just love platonic relationships! lol. Jirash said: And here I thought I couldn't get any more disappointed. Just what exactly makes Mr. Fahrenheit a chuuni? Just because he's young, what he said can be brushed off as words said by a kid going through puberty? Does that mean his words lost their meaning (or half of it)? The age difference between them wasn't that big. What would Jun do if they ever met when Mr. Fahrenheit was still alive? Would he be disappointed? Disillusioned? Would he feel betrayed? So it would be fine if the guy was older? Would that make his words more impactful? I bet it would. I honestly can't stomach Jun's reaction when he saw the picture. "You were so lucky just to be alive" - what exactly was so lucky in his life? His parents that couldn't accept him? A lover who died? Society that refused him? I understand Jun was devastated seeing that "the person he admired" was a middle schooler (you can't admire one?) but his choice of words was awful. This is just my opinion, but to me, it looked like Jun was horrified that Mr. Fahrenheit, who was so mature yet driven to commit suicide, was only a middle school kid. Him calling Mr. Fahrenheit a 'chuuni' didn't look like he meant it, instead it looked like he was lost for words because of his sadness. |
