I like the twist here , although it's still confusing whether this is an alternate timeline deal or something else

Interesting stuff. Picked up from the last week and I like this direction, although now it REALLY feels like a combo of Bakuman and Steins;Gate with this twist of him having to save her, but with manga. I'll have to see how it'll play out to really judge if its a great option or a sloppy one, but it's got me a little intrigued again.

Finally an interesting development! I like the twist and it feels like the story is getting somewhere, let's see how it develops. Nice chapter!

I genuinely like this little twist. I think that for the last two weeks, we have been very predictably discussing what direction the series was going to go and sometimes having a problem with the pacing. I don't think anyone really saw this little nugget coming. We're starting to see little crumbs of an end goal or something to keep in mind. It's really been lacking in any tension so far.

I honestly was about to drop the series two chapters ago. Not because it's bad, it's very good and has heart, but nothing kept me hooked. It didn't have any sort of intrigue for me. Now I am glad to keep going with this. This is the kind of thing the story seriously needed.

But I really wish it came sooner. Then again, maybe it needed to be here for the end of the first volume?

Understandable but honestly it's still the 7th chapter so I don't know how soon you wanted it to come lol

True. At most maybe a chapter or two earlier, but it's hardly going to matter down the road.

I'd assumed that the future issues of Shonen Jump were being sent back in time as they were published. However if they were being sent back to alter the past and prevent Aino's death that means whoever sent them back knew Aino was going to die or she was already dead.

So that could mean Aino was already dead and all these future issues had already been published when they started getting sent back in time. Or whoever sent these issues back in time could see Aino's death coming.

So how did she die?

Accident?
Murder?
Suicide?
Illness/Natural causes?

Her death was "sudden" so accident, murder or suicide seem the most likely culprits.

You would think that having such huge success with her manga being published and picked up for an anime that suicide would be unlikely. However the pressure of success may have gotten to her.

Whatever the case may be it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I had honestly thought that this whole time travel thing was a freak accident and never really considered that there was someone on the other end orchestrating things.

I agree that twist should have came earlier, previous 2-3 chapters felt kinda boring and empty, but anyway, NOW author has my full attention... I was not expecting THIS and now it gets really interesting. Just wow, we really are stepping on Steins;Gate territory.
6/5, I am in complete shock, can't wait for the next chapter.

(I just realised Date Tsunehiro's previous works were axed pretty fast and now he's drawing story about struggling artist. Kinda ironic, if you think about it).

It was a really enjoyable, My guess is that in the next Issue (from the future) White Knight is going the get axed.... and the MC and the girl at the end will work together to make the series better.

If this really happen you mister are really smart man.
but I highly doubt it will be axed so fast like maybe after 9~10 chapters (minimum), or maybe something happened to the girl in future and this will be the reason for cancellation? (like she waited so long to publish her manga that she didn't have more time?)
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.107/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.190/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.108/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.15/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.78/? - biweekly)
- You and I Are Polar Opposites (Ch.64/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

The author giving us that good twist. Buckle in Bois, this a change-the-future series now. Now I think this can be a real good series.

I had a theory that it was Sasaki Teppei himself sending the mangas into the past under the guise of Aino. I guess that theory can be buried now.

ok this series is saved atm.

idk why everybody say "nice twist" when at chapter 1 we can already see what the strength of this kinda story, a thrill / phycological mystery.
the amount of people thought this is gonna be a usual "wholesome" sol / entertainment junk / normie shit is so much like holy shit.

I wonder if he will finally tell Aino what is going on, or if he'll continue to keep it a secret and try to save her without her knowledge.

I'm so here for this!!! Finally some higher stakes, so we'll get to see what kind of shenanigans Teppei Sasaki will get involved in in order to continue serializing White Knight knowing what he knows now.

So it looks like he'll have to continue the story after all. Now this is where it gets interesting. But not only that, he has to save the life of a girl who's doomed to die. The Jump didn't mention how or why she passed away. Was it a disease? Car accident? Murder? Suicide? Yet another layer to this really interesting story. Does he have 10 years to figure it out? Or will it be sooner? So many questions.

I honestly can't wait until he starts writing White Knight on his own. I really want to see Teppei develop as a great mangaka.

I actually kinda saw this coming and yet I didn't see it coming or something like that but this series just got much more interesting. Sasaki has to continue the series on his own and also find out why Aino dies and also save her. This kinda really does feel like Steins gate + Bakuman combo lol.
