I heard the LN have more horrify scene. They definitely censored the
which probably explained why Myne collapsed

I think Child labor is strictly prohibited

Well, I think you haven't seen worser case. If you ever travel around southeast asia, very young kids are going around begging for money from the locals and tourists.
Child labor law doesn't really mean much if it doesn't help the poorer.

Nice! so this time, Myne became the Orphanage Director! She's becoming busier! I hope her frail body doesn't breakdown!
5/5.

Give me more of this amazing showwwww

This is simply amazing, Main's adventure in the church/nobility world takes a new step by discovering the absolute inequalities between those who represent the bottom & those who represent the top. Very ironic for the so-called church to provide inhumans treatments to children. But Main showed up & everything will be different I bet !

I would really love next episode that the noble high priest finds out and moves against mine and she just melts his brain. I'd feel most pleased after experiencing in some part mains own character in how disgusted she felt with the way humans were treat like cattle. This show is fantastic and it certainly invokes many varied emotions across the spectrum. Love it!

*The church locks orphans into a basement and causes them to die by not giving them enough food*

High Priest: If they die, that's because God wanted.

Main:

Thanks ! I find kind of weird that was her reaction, taking into account thats pouting something used if you were not given a toy , not when you discuss kids dying ... This felt like Disney movie, they took raw realistic and crude material and put It under a Pink light then they got "everything was nice in 3 simple steps " ;)

This season has a completely different tone from the first season, as evident by this very episode. It's become very grim, and honestly, I vastly prefer the first season. Really wish we weren't stuck with the Nobility all the time.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if they started calling Main a saint or angel XD. They seem to be depicting her that way. I wouldnt mind if they treated her that way lol. They make their own religion, "The Main faith" XDDD

That was pretty dark, no wonder those two kids wanted to escape the 'orphanage' those orphans weren't even deemed human.

Good thing the head priest is on Main's side instead of more towards the high priest side.

I guess this is another universe that nobles are the worse peasants and the like are little more that tools or bugs. one of Myne retainers said they did something with the female gray robe priestess has scum as these nobles are i hope they just became attendants for nobles but fear they became slaves of one stripe or another if another knows I'd like an answer I think

I have no idea, why these children live like so.. I mean, if they're treated so badly, are they kept for experiments or something?.. I don't get it..
I mean, politics are realistic and stuff.. But also kinda boring.. I'm not feeling for politics now, really.. On the other hand, they did good thing.. Just that getting around politics is eh.. But kind thing is kind thing, these children were kept in worse conditions than animals, really.. I guess, in the church noone thinks about anything, only about some useless shit like keeping your opinion only to yourself, and other stuff..

And the most realistic isekai strikes again.

Perfect depiction of an orphanage under Government rule in most of world, even now.

Nobody cares about the children, and in poor societies like that medieval one, families have 1 new kid per year, so nobody is going to raise orphans, you have already too much children anywhere.

The church members and even Ferd act cold to little inocent kids dying of hunger? Not even allowing them to catch food in the forest? For them they are not even human, just a store of future possible slaves, and leting the weakests die is already fair natural selection. Ferd dont agree but also dont really wanted to risk his position, and look, another kid died.

Myne is miracle from God to that kids, because she not only came from a peasant family who can identify herself with the orphans (also from peasant families)...

But she have a mind raised in a modern devenloped society where that situation is absolutely inadmissible.

A religious organisation abusing their power, being corrupt and otherwise treating people terribly while maintaining a veneer of pious righteousness? Who could have seen that coming? It's almost as if this is incredibly similar to the reality of actual religious organisations in the real world.

Always had my doubts but watching those orphans made it very clear that this church don't give a damn about something which isn't profitable to it in someway or the other. Not very ideal of a religions sect if I say.

Great to see Myne being that helping hand for those orphans.

Ah yes, The Wheel of Time called this subtle political and social maneuverings among the nobility to gain advantages one way or another, Daes Dae'mar (The Great Game) or just The Game Of Houses which is just an earlier version of Game of Thrones, or the Great Houses of the Landsraad in Dune are even older, reading signs and intentions in aristocratic politics makes my head hurt.

And to make our life and our protagonist's life even more complicated, she now has to manage the orphanage, feed them somehow and technically make the orphans work for her, a win-win scenario but I dread the moment the high bishop would hear all of these!
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Ok what the fuck. The church really thought locking orphans up and feeding them like animals was a humane and efficient way of dealing with the situation? For an organisation that’s so high and mighty to be having human beings live like that is insane.

that's how most nobles even in real life were, put them in that position and u will see same picture, cause commoners meaning nothing, easily disposable

Myne is now also the water goddess of the orphanage. I'm surprised he let her go through with it. Maybe one day we'll find out his motivation. Perhaps he tried the same as Myne in the past but failed, or didn't have the guts to go through with it completely.

It's fun to see how Myne's goal of "reading a book" is continuously adapting to how she fits into this new world & her overall purpose there.

Everything about that orphanage was beyond gloomy. I'm just glad things are finally being turned around for it, and that the head priest established himself as one of Myne's allies.
