Oh Boy they are getting Married. Congratz to them. I guess this manga might end soon after all unless Sasuga wants to do some more drama. Kiriya sensei told Natsuo some top notch stuff, "Never forget what she did for you". Man that hit me hard. Also Hina and her mom's conversation made me tear up a bit. |

I really think it's pretty pathetic that someone else has to tell Natsuo that. Like for reals, we're near the very end and this guy still can't even understand the people that are close to him. I didn't want to hate on him and initially when I picked up the manga after the anime ended, I actually had hopes for him as an MC that was portrayed to be passionate & talented about writing, and wrote that award-winning story as he clawed his way out of depression. He was then steadily improving with Togen as his mentor and joining the Forester Club in college, writing their plays & meeting Hana, but that just came to a halt. Not just his ability to write but he never became more empathetic towards others. How the hell does he expect to be a successful writer when he's still this dense? If anything, he's a bigger simp than before. |

I hope there won't be any drama coming up anymore... would be quite boring. Make Fumiya and Hina a pair and end it on a happy note. |

Ah yes the tears of salty Hina fans. They continue to flow. Especially when they think Hina won't have a happy ending. If you think that you're delusional. Sensei knows Tina has a loyal fan base and has said everyone will be happy in the end. My issue is people predicting Rui and the baby are going to die and Hina will be back in the picture. Stop. This manga will be over soon once loose ends between Natsuo and Hina are tied off. Gildesh said: I hope there won't be any drama coming up anymore... would be quite boring. Fumiya also liked Hina when in High school and continued to hit on her especially when she came to the cafe. |

Lumin_ said: I meant to say that the Quintessential Quintuplets manga had a better ending in my opinion and an even better story, but the last few chapters were kinda nerfed/degraded. Also, don't let this manga be a staple for romance mangas in your perspective because there are some really good romance mangas out there that are much better. As far as favoritism goes, I never liked the first girl rule in romance mangas which is also why I don't consider Rui a good character. Granted, she has developed, but some of the side characters like Momo and Serizawa had much better development than her. I've been a fan of Hina since her introduction and following her development, my admiration for her has just strengthened even more. In the end, I just hope that Sasuga finds it in herself to give a justified ending to Hina.SPIDEY_rockzzzzz said: Well, sorry I don't get your first sentence. In the end, I just hope that Sasuga finds it in herself to give a justified ending to Hina. No kidding mate, lol. I don't particularly hate Rui myself as much as I think that she's like the least interesting female character in this entire story. An inferiority complex towards her older sibling which leads to jealously & insecurity, as well as selfishness - things you can expect in many girls her age ~ life never really hits her in this story. Those problems can be annoying and get in the way of a relationship sure, but come on now, other girls have a more interesting back-story that could've been expanded upon. - Serizawa is someone who took acting too seriously compared to her friends who did it just4fun, which is a good thing considering her talent for it, but she has to learn to balance out her passion for acting with the ego that often comes with people who're actually talented & passionate about something, especially something that most people can't do. - Momo had her obsession with having sex with a HUGE number of boyfriends due to her just being rather lonely and there's even the thing with the mark on her arm Natsuo saw when they were about to do it that put most other guys off knowing this girl tried to suicide. - Even Misaki who's only had like one arc and not many appearances outside that, definitely has an interesting story to tell that could be expanded upon in more than an arc.The girl went from success to taking drugs after all. - There's also a cabaret girl Natsuo once helps & writes a story about when he went out with Togen to gather material, I can't remember her name or the chapters but she had a great, fun personality that I would have loved to see more of. All these options to be Hina's love rival(not even gonna go into detail about her, as she's been the spice of this story throughout most of it's run) and we instead get Rui, an average teenage/later young adult girl, with mundane issues you see everywhere that also happens to get everything handed out to her. Her coming-of-age story ain't bad, but for crying out loud Sasuga, you sure picked one of your least interesting types of characters from both DomeKano & Good Ending combined as one of your main girls. |

Plus, I agree 100% with you that Rui didn't go through enough problems and grow on her own like Hina, Natsuo, Serizawa, etc. did. Also, I felt the ugly duckling's arc was also a very good one. Why not work on such rich characters rather than working on an insecure, selfish, and harsh girl? What really drove the nail in the coffin was that she dumped Natsuo at his worst. Then, how is it that she gets him back at his semi-best?SPIDEY_rockzzzzz said: As far as favoritism goes, I never liked the first girl rule in romance mangas which is also why I don't consider Rui a good character. Hina is just as selfish as Rui is, hell at least Rui confronted Natsuo face to face to talk about the breakup, Hina literally just upped and left lmao. And it's hard to compare with Sakurasou, because in that case it was wayyyyyy too one sided that Nanami was the better option (the realtionship with Mashiro was just toxic all around) whereas in this case, both girls I'd say had equal moments of good and bad. ofc you could say Hina choosing not to go after Nat after Rui breakup could classify her as selfless, but then wouldn't Rui not going after Nat (at least not seriously) while he was dating Hina and even after the break up not be classified as the same? |

I've been a fan of Hina since her introduction and following her development, my admiration for her has just strengthened even more. Her coming-of-age story ain't bad, but for crying out loud Sasuga, you sure picked one of your least interesting types of characters from both DomeKano & Good Ending combined as one of your main girls. m8 lest not forget Hina went out with a married dude fully knowing he was married, simultaneously led on her new step bro and got together with him when things didn't end up working out with married dude. I wouldn't really say she didn't have any consideration for what he was going through. At the time she thought it would be the best because she didn't want to be a burden to Nat. and ruin him further. Obviously she realized her fuck up later on but it's not like she was like 'lol ur depressed now goodbye loser' As for Hina, the parents didn't find out until after she had left lol. For sure she had to go (although I guess that's also debatable) but by no means was she in a rush to gtfo. She literally spent the whole grad. ceremony telling all the students she was gonna leave. Plus she said it herself that the only reason she left without telling Natsuo was because she didn't want to see his sad face. idk about you but that sounds pretty 'selfish' if we're going to those lengths lolol. Both breakups were similar imo. Both girls broke up with Natsuo because they thought it would be better for him (Hina because she didn't want to ruin Natsuo's dream, and Rui because she didn't want to end up being a burden to Natsuo) and both girls ultimately realized they messed up later on. To me at least, both Hina and Rui are equally selfish/selfless in their own regards. Hina is just better at keeping it to herself. Ignoring personal preferences I don't really see how one girl is more of waifu material than the other, when they've both had their good and bad moments (like lets not forget how messed up Hina was in the beginning lol) honestly to me, Mashiro felt like a shitty love rival. Like the number of times she inadvertently fucked up Sora made me feel kinda bad for the guy, whereas Nanami who's pretty much in a similar boat knows what he's going through. Hell later in the novel they even breakup (can't remember specifically why though lol but it had to do with Sora) although they did get back together in the end |

Given the entire situation, Hina had to move fast or else things could go messy. As far as her reason, as you said, she really didn't want to see him sad and her entire time away from him, she just missed him like anything. So, if I was to say, it's more like she was saving him while also making him and herself suffer. In Rui's case, I didn't see much of regret on her part until later. Plus, when Hina left Natsuo, it was due to a forced situation whereas Rui just dumped him straight up during his writer's block. To put it simply, I believe that both girls messed up, but the realization, the situation, and the reason was much different for each one. In Hina's case, she had no choice, but to do what she did. Sure, she could've handled it in a much more mature manner, but considering Natsuo's maturity at the time, she felt it was best to just leave. As far as Rui, she wasn't forced to dump him. It was just her belief of not being a burden, but it was the entire situation when she dumped him that mattered. The situation being Natsuo's writer's block.SPIDEY_rockzzzzz said: Short_Circut said: SPIDEY_rockzzzzz said: ManlyTear said: I heard that Sasuga likes Hina more than Rui, so even if there are many Rui fans out there than Hina, why didn't she choose to go for the girl she loved? A very powerful example of the same issue is Nanami from Sakurasou. That girl was just Awesomeness. Yet, she is still a struggling VA at the end of the day while Sorata and Mashiro have made it alot far. I hate it when the more mature, experienced, and kind women don't get the justice they deserve from their authors'. I don't like the Rui ship, my humble opinion, I'm not saying I hate Rui or her fans, spare me your judgement, but we've just gotta accept Rui's endgame at this point. It doesn't matter if there's drama or not, as we know the endgame - plus, do you know the outrage that would be caused in the community if Rui is not endgame? That'd be like asking for death. And don't worry about it, your opinion is yours. It shouldn't have anything to do with anyone Imao. But I really am not sure if this kinda drama is possible or not at this point. TBH I am kinda bored with this manga at this point, so I am just craving destruction in the story. Now it doesn't really matter to me whether the story has logical and realistic plot or not, I just want this normie shit to end. |

Hina is just being destroyed. Like, wth!? Yeah I mean that it could be something really bad like an accident or maybe just maybe it can be possible that Hina won't be able to hold herself back anymore and if written wisely , it could lead to a series of interesting new possibilities! Hina drinking with her mom and her mom noticing that she's still in love with Natsuo, and the words Kiriya-sensei gave Natsuo to never forget what Hina did for them really made me tear up. Other than that, they really dropped a bomb on everyone lol not one, not two, but three things (granted, some knew the third one). Must've been quite a shock. Momo's still hot I see. |

@HeroicIdeal It becomes repetitive and predictable. That's what is boring. There's such a thing as overdoing/overusing it. (Talking in general. I don't even remember what happened around this chapter.) |
