| Kinda cool, but this shoulda been the 2nd episode, and the creator really should ahve used the previous one with Nobunaga as a veritable Japanese Dracula in his rebuilt "Castlevania" type palace. That ep was cool. The mediums wre in for a bit of a fight again, but things always seemed rushed due to some things that were unnecessary forms of exposition, jumping from one seen to the next or characters just next to each other out of knowhere without so much as a "Oh its you again?" or whatevs. Still, the pokeball looking ghost balls/beads the evil chick used in this episode were kinda amusing to behold, and besides the boobs that pop up in each episode, the lil ecchi Kujaku pulling the classic anime trope of "Guy unknowing walks into the womens changing room", was hilariously classic. But oddly enugh they made him a bit more, if not a good deal more handsome for this episode for whatever reason. I almost gae this a 7 since I liked the show overall and will watch the following OVAs, but the pacing and lack of proper sound effects or music at times was a huge flaw. This neds a remastering. INteresting that it had english voice cast in the second half of the credits, because more anime never even thought they would getto that point of needing foreign translation. Whether that was intended from the get go, or done a year or two or more afterwards, that wa a rarity for many anime back in the 1980s, and even throughout much of the 1990s. 6.5/10 overall for this cool, quasi X-Files spiritualist 80s anime. It was cool ^<^. |
