Wow, so Senkuu's father started the village. Like father like son, huh? Byakuya's ambitions are no different than Senkuu's - to save the people of Earth. Pretty good episode.

That's crazy! So those villagers all came from those 6 people? Senku probably is related to some of them! What's crazier is that after a few thousand years and there's like only 40 people in that village and maybe count a few of those they banished

This ep was like: Bruh, no way the iss would stay in orbit for 2500 years and the astronauts just be able to fly back to earth after the wake up. Then I finish it and now I'm like: bruh there's no way that tiny small village would survive for 2700 years and stay being a small village, without even language changes... This anime can blow away all their script with this ep. I hope the next gives a satisfactory explanation... I hope they fell to earth and petrified themselves somehow.
how did i get here;

This is the worst episode so far. The whole ISS is so unrealistic as it could be. Especially in this “science” show.

I might be thrilled if I am one of the six remaining humans in the planet.

Wonder when those six came back to earth, definitely not after the modern world were completely vanished. So they didn’t maintain anything modern? Well it would be hard to reproduce it since they are not someone who can make it.

Fantastic episode, that explains a lot.

Lillian's genes still going strong after like what? hundreds of years. Kohaku and Ruri really looks like her.

Senku's dad is awesome, what a chad.

cool episode, though you'd expect much biggr numbers after 1700 years and for a bunch of astronauts to maintain mor of civilization, guess some other dissaster knocked them back down like 100 years back or the rt of the world is somewhat populated.

Astronauts tend to be preaty healthy people so i'll believe none of the 6 had any nasty resesive genes so that inbreeding wasn't an issue

This has been so fun that I forgot what an actually really tragic premise this is, watching all of humanity basically vanish, even your son, being one of the 6 remaining humans? What a story man I want more of this! Sure collecting materials and crafting weapons and tools was fun but this backstory is really intruiging

Yoo wtf, that actually makes sense. I'm shook from how they connected things.

but when they returned to earth they could have done something about reversing the petrification with all the technology, wtf happened. I have so many questions
I mean yeah, but if I saw a bunch of people turned to stone, I’d be like “they’re dead” and just move on.

Omg. The last 6 humans...... and it’s so bittersweet how Senkuu is finding all this out. His dad is long gone now.

Byakuya seemed like a solid guy. How much he must have missed Senkuu :(

The story that's being developed in this anime is getting pretty amazing. I hope that in the next episode they keep showing more of what happened with Senku's father and his group that was in space.

So that's how the Ishigami village came into existence. Explaining everything around, about time we had an episode like this coming.

Senku's dad being one of those last 6 homo sapiens remaining... that sure was exhilarating. 5/5 for backstory.

This episode makes a lot of sense. Indeed, if the Earth were to be petrified, some humans must have been at the International Space Station, and would not have been affected.
“Why does an apple fall when it is ripe? Is it brought down by the force of gravity? Is it because its stalk withers? Because it is dried by the sun, because it grows too heavy, or because the boy standing under the tree wants to eat it? None of these is the cause.... Every action of theirs, that seems to them an act of their own free will is in the historical sense not free at all but is bound up with the whole course of history and preordained from all eternity.”

Well, things started to get more interesting. Did all the people in the village originated from 6 people ? That could explain Kohaku's wierd eyes lol. But seriously, how are they still a small uncivilized village after thousands of years ?

Some obvious issues like how to restart the population from only six people, why the village is so small (even when it's not the only one, it is the first one, so unless deliberately kept that way it should be among the bigger ones) and the technology level were already raised in previous posts, but i still think it's one of the better episodes. Those issues may yet be resolved. At the very least it's not a problem of the episode itself, but of the series as a whole. And on the positive side while the characters might be a bit to jovial and stuff, the way things worked on the ISS was portraited quite well, with them continuing to float in one direction until stopped, them using a foot to secure a hold etc., or drops floating upwards. Their reaction to the petrification was also believable, first trying to contact the various space agencies, then checking the internet and so. Usually, it's a completely apocalypse, e.g. the "suggested" nuclear war, so internet would be down as well, but they made good use of the fact that it's "only" petrification of humans.

Whoa... so it looks like the villagers might be descendants of the astronauts, the sole survivors when that light green thing turned everyone on Earth into statues. The resemblance is kinda uncanny, adding up perfectly. But it's also a downer, thinking that Senku's dad probably kicked the bucket ages ago, and they're never getting that reunion. I'm left wondering if Byakuyan and Lilian hit it off, making Senku, Ruri, and Kohaku distant relatives, maybe?

On the flip side, it's a bit odd that after 3000 years, there are still so few humans around. Could it be that the other astronauts created their own little villages? Even if there are, say, three villages with 50 people each, it still feels like there should be more folks kicking about, you know?

Trying to watch this show (again) and this episode was just dumbest one of the lot.

Somehow they made worse episode than the first few with the screaming retard constantly yelling every few seconds.

Also, hilarious how in real life there are astronauts still stuck up there in space station, unable to come back without the help of space agency on Earth, meanwhile these morons in space in the show are like, "Let's go back." Bitch, you're not going anywhere without ground control. Suspending disbelief only works when you go fill sci-fi, not some half-arsed tard science where you have real life events to reference how full of shit the show is.

This show is beyond stupid. The flashy science is for kids or adults with few functioning braincells. I'm sure the next episode will show something even more stupider.

I gave this show 1/10 back in 2019 after watching first few episodes, and ditching it cause of the screaming moron. Despite me sitting through so many episodes in 2025, the rating has barely moved up. The fact that this show has "8.27" rating says a lot about the anime community.
