a very basic episode. felt a little simplistic? corny? idk, something... (maybe that's how it's always been and i've just forgotten). also the timeline was a little whack. it's just meliodas and ban, then magically it's all the sins, and then magically they're all at the castle for that announcement. no real explanation or transition provided

Glad they recapped last season, I barely remembered anything about it at all. Not a very exciting start into the new season though and the animation is "okay".

It’s really fine. Opening was okay and the ending was good, but there’s very little memorable is this episode. Good things: voice acting, sound and music is good but the bad things: animation quality has dropped a lot, the red and gray demons went from being really feared to just minions dealt with in 1 hit, that yellow/ beige demon is annoying, Zeldris and Estarossa just became too cliche with the ‘doing nothing except sitting on the throne’ and ‘unconscious in a random vat’ is very annoying, the censoring is really really stupid and unnecessary, and this season just completely ignores Prisoners of the Sky. So yeah, not that excited for the rest of the season knowing that’s coming.

First episode and ya'll are already saying animation is trash when it really isn't that bad. How about let a real fight happen before shitting all over this series?

All the haters have me confused. It's like reading the first 5 pages of a book and thinking it's trash without even getting through the first few chapters.

*Sigh* I mean, the story is supposed to be the most important part anyway, plus let's give it more time, this was only the first episode. I love this series so far.
