| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was truly the most emotional episode yet. Fanni discovers that Nozomi is actually his sister, shattering his dreams, and it causes him to have a psychological breakdown. He is easily defeated in the ring due to not being able to concentrate. Fanni goes to see his biological mother for the first time since he was a child, but he didn't realize that she was legally blind, and she couldn't bear to tell him. Nozomi goes to the pier to see her brother off, but she doesn't know that it's Fanni. She sees Fanni, and she has no idea why he's leaving her, but he encourages her to continue with her music. She is now going to work hard, and she hopes that someday, he'll return to her, even though he doesn't have plans to. As the viewer, we know that the parents who raised Nozomi aren't actually her biological parents, and if Fanni knew that, he would've stayed, but not even Nozomi knows, neither do those who have raised her. |
