12 or 24 episodes?

24 episodes because of the timeslot. This timeslot always had 2 cour shows so far. It's the same time slot that S1 had and Boku no Hero S2 and S3 had that timeslot as well. Iirc, both seasons of Time Bokan 24 had the same slot as well and they were both 2 cour as well. And the shows that aired in the same timeslot before all were 2 cour as well.

I honestly don't know but the season isn't over yet. It's often the case that 2 cour shows make a few weeks pause in between the first and second cour. Who knows, this might end up being only 22-23 episodes instead of 24, but my main point was that it will be 2 cour which is definitely the case.

Tbh, I put the season on hold after only two episodes, but judging from the comments, they haven't adapted the main part of the third game yet, so the season certainly isn't over yet. Also, it is on the list of anime that started in previous seasons and continue in the winter 2019 season.
