| I think Kaiji's development throughout the series is clear to see here. He put his compassion behind his realism when talking to Mario. Despite feeling so much sadness about leaving Chang behind he had to choose to save himself and Mario. I feel early series Kaiji would have been too optimistic and chose to wait until it was too late. But, like I mentioned, he still had that overwhelming compassion and it was seen in that beautiful group hug they had. Tears were flowing. He would never choose to abandon a friend unless it's the only way and he truly thought it was momentarily. Oh and that's not even mentioning the intellectual depth he's gained. Thinking back to him getting tricked by Funai, we can see how far he's come. He's ready to suspect everything, think of the worst case scenario, and think of solutions to get around it before any of it comes to bite him. |

| I remember the first time that Chang saw the poster I thought it was weird how the author focused on it and was wondering if it was gonna foreshadow something. I thought it would be about the man Chang met near where he left the car but I was wrong. With all that happened I then completely forgot about that poster. So I think it's really cool how it reappeared again and in a way I never expected! Also, that taxi driver is so kind |
