| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Arthur was able to go back to being kind, and close to Georgie, but Abel is still conflicted. Then Georgie, and Abel end up at Mrs. Potter's store together where she says that they look like a couple, which Georgie finds funny, and in turn makes Abel run away from her side because he was almost telling her the truth. Then at the port he meets Jessica, a better girl than Becky for sure, even though she isn't as pretty. And well, Abel really IS popular with the ladies; but thanks to going along with some fools, and drinking, he ended up staying almost the whole night out, and having his first kiss taken by Jessica. Their mother, as usual, blamed Georgie for Abel not being back at home, and went as far as saying that she's afraid the poor girl will tear the family apart. It may happen, but it won't be her fault, and I hope she remembers all of the times she was mistreated when she finds out she's adopted. Their mother has been really inconsistent until now; sometimes she's kind, but she's mostly terrible to Georgie, so even though she's a good character I really can't like her. And so Abel, after realizing that staying close to Georgie like this is painful, and that he needs to sort his feelings, decides again that he wants to be a sailor, and this time it is for real, the episode ends with his departure, and now another year will go by, and the dashing, blond lad will FINALLY appear! |

| Jessica ended up being the first girl that Abel ever kissed, which came as a bit of a surprise for him. It's hard to believe, but Abel has left his family to become a sailor, the very thing he wanted to do when he was younger. Perhaps he'll be able to be at peace, not worrying about spilling his feelings to Georgie. They're all having a hard time with Abel's departure, which is to be expected. |
