Do I need to watch Sengoku Basara before this?

I just discovered that this anime is based on another series called "Sengoku Basara". Would it be better if I watch Sengoku Basara first before watching this spin-off? Could it be if I watch this first, I would miss all the references?

It's parody anime with characters behind put in highschool. Literally fanservice show. No, there is no point watching it if you aren't fan of original. Yes, you miss all the references.
