| i love the random type of shit clown kids complain about on the internet lmao who cares if there's cgi when literally every 2nd anime nowadays has cgi? the plot was so much better than most of the modern animes airing , which is what actually matters. also the animation might've not been top tier but the art style is, id rather watch animes like this one over some modern overhyped garbage with a ludicrously bad plot like that shitty ass movie "your name" for example random supernatural unrelated crap that makes no sense whatsoever that has 0 reasoning behind it that doesn't follow any logic and its only popular cause your average human is stupid |

| To be fair, this season mostly looked bad because there's no way in hell XEBEC could achieve KyoAni's level of animation on a series with a 13-year gap and production issues (2 recap episodes in a 12 episode anime COME ON). Just consider how bad thing were: XEBEC went frikkin' BANKRUPT this year. Still, this season was a nice surprise. Kadokawa obviously thought or reviving interest in this series, considering the release of 3 'movie' prequels cut from season 1 footage. I guess those didn't do well too though, so at this point... hard to say :) |

The true FMP is a more serious story with mecha fights,read the manga.Fumoffu is good but it's only a comedy spin off and not the "true" FMP story. | the thing is, this franchise has gone through THREE studios, GONZO, KyoAni, and Xebec. i personally think each studio did great work and my choice for a 5th season would be Production I.G /// BUT! only if they pulled together the ENTIRE team that did 'GITS:SAC' and '2nd Gig'. the Arise team did great work but i liked the 'police procedural' style that Kenji Kamiyama created as Chief Director for 'SAC'. i feel his mix of character development, realistic but still jargon driven dialogue, action, amazing storytelling, and minimal plus WELL BLENDED CGA would work perfectly with a 5th installment of 'FMP'. /// unfortunately the anime industry is STILL trying to recover from covid 2020 so i don't see a 'FMP 5' coming until all that delay/cancellation/rescheduling clears up within the next 2 years. remember folks, GONZO's 'FMP S1' was way way waaaaay back in 2002 and the gap between '2nd Raid' and 'IV' was thirteen years! i just hope the franchise can get going again before the original English dub cast gets any longer in the tooth or somebody kicks the bucket suddenly! |

| Honestly, after how poorly this season treated the source material, I'd be glad if they let the anime die. Either that or redo the season. The animation wasn't great but it was serviceable and I would have had no problems looking past it if they adapted the source material faithfully but no they had to take away accomplishments from Characters like Tessa and Sousuke and siphon them to Chidori. Fuck that shit! Bad enough that they skipped a whole volume of the novels that had some real nice interpersonal developments (and also trying to cram 3 volumes in 12 episodes) but fucking over characters to make one look better (one who's already pretty OP as is) is just the moldy cherry on top. Couldn't even finish the season in the end. |

| all i remember is that I was seething on how the story was progressing plotwise (not a source reader), and how the production quality was subpar compared to previous entries. Maybe it was just never meant to be... |
