Hehehe, Sara's short enough to flip off the edge of a bed. "Don't worry! I can't swim!" "..." "They're very vicious! But if my hypothesis is correct, their bite won't kill you!" "..." Ok. Kuon is now officially best girl of Island. Sure are a lot of insert songs in this series. More music advertising for our VAs! Wait, wait, wait...Sara gave birth to herself? Is that the reason why she, Karen, and Rinne look like their mothers? This is getting trippy... This is some dank trippy shit. What other mysteries are on this Island? |

| I haven't read the VN but it feels like they decided to cram 2 routes into 2 episodes to get them out of the way. Now they have the rest of the show (7 or 8 episodes) for the main route. So it might get better from here onwards. |

| well there was this talk about time travel and stuff but there is still no distinctive proof…apart from flashback. .I just hope they don’t let it end open ended |

| Well this was actually quite the interesting episode, really interesting backstory to be honest and lovely ending. |

| The dark history behind Sara's family has reinforced my belief that none of these legends are actually true. Time travel, reincarnation, curses. It seems more like the people of the island have bitten off more of their own lore than they can chew and have begun to believe their own myths. |

| I hurt my brain trying to understand the biology of mother and daughter being the same person. Glad that the theory turned out to be a wrong assumption by Sara. The opening scene still did not make sense. Might be explained later. So her parents killed themselves to stop the ritual for good? But can't they just stop it without killing themselves? Or did they suddenly feel super guilty about it without any context? 3/5. |
| Sara is not a person from the past? All of his hypotheses were wrong and Sara made it to the age of 17. |
| i do like these charactes and their stories seem interesting but this anime just kinda rushes them all. maybe i should play the source vn. and sara being her own mother would make no sense. for that to be the case she would have to give birth to herself but where does the first sara come from if she is her own mother? time travel wouldnt explain her just popping into existense and even then how would she give birth to herself and that would be more like cloning than birthing a new human  |

| Sara planned to become her own daughter. Literally. It's confusing enough when someone ends up becoming their own grandparent or something further back than that. But to become the person who actually sired or birthed them... just the idea of that paradox makes my head ache. |
