I can't say for sure if I like it or not but I felt like this episode was lacking quite a bit, considering the storyline on this episode feels overused already. |

| I much prefer the traditional approach for sure, all the gimmicks make it less scary than it would've. However I don't like not knowing the history between the family and the mom.. I don't need it to be told to my face directly but there wasn't even any hints of what could've went down. Maybe she's dead, maybe the husband killed her for some reason but there's nothing we can go by.. it's just meh in the end. Hope it gets better, it has lots of potential. |

| Finally got around to starting Yami Shibai's sixth season and for the first time in the show I'm not sure what happened? I like subtlety, I like picking up on details and forming the conclusion, but I mean, there's nothing to go off here. The story just ends. It's pretty clear the father had something to do with the mother leaving, murder maybe? But there's no real sense of danger in terms of the protagonist, there's no clear understanding of the dramatics between the family, and the build-up all feels wasted because of it's conclusion. Maybe her design at the end should've signified some signs of death, it was colored in darker shades, but nothing that hints from towards anything at least based on what I could make out. I suppose the intention was to place us in the protagonist shoes, he knew nothing, so we're suppose to imagine the terror that might come through with us living a situation like this. But, it doesn't really work when you're only personality trait is being scared of thunder and if it does succeed, obviously the protagonist will experience some level of clarity after the fact so it's natural to be left upset when we're left out. Yami Shibai's seasons tend to have a sense of cohesion within the episodes, like how three was all monsters or four was overt narration, I really hope complete ambiguity isn't the quality of this season. Or if it is, that's it's handled more deftly than it was here. |

| Damn, that was a pretty good start So the mom didn't really leave. She was killed by her husband for some reason She still came back when her son remembered her. She was a loving mother all along I really don't like the ED |
