Welp. No idea what's going on with Tougou.
Interesting start though.

Everyone is blaming Taisha, but it's obvious Tougou volunteered herself to this. That scene with Koukubou Kamen wasn't pointless, it was to show Tougou wants to make amends for what she did to the wall.

Maybe she's building the wall?

Since Togo is a Messiah I'm worried that something like this will happen and look behold it did come true.

Now for the situation she is in there are several possibility:

a) She want to sacrifice herself as a Miko to make amend to heaven. Though unlike what happen with Gun-chan her entire existence is getting erased.

b) Yuusha-bu lost the battle on outside the wall and she is kidnapped.

c) She is becoming part with Shinjuu.

Man seeing this remind me of Gun-chan.

Also the key visual for this arc is good.

Looks like it's probably A and C. I highly doubt it's B with Super Sonoko on the team. It reminds me of Miyu's dilemma in Fate Prisma Illya. She probably surrendered herself and now is part of Shinju's defense system and slowly draining her existence. Taisha probably had a hand in this plus her guilt of almost destroying what's left of the world.

My first impression of Yuusha no Shou: Are they pulling a Madoka Movie 3 rip-off!?!?
Looks like somebody is manipulating their memories because its easy to notice, Nogi Sonoko shouldn't be able to go back at school and 1st half is Washio Sumi (Tougou Mimori) is nowhere to be found!
I really hope that this plot has the same awesomeness that the Washio Sumi no Shou series has!
5/5.

I don't see why that would be the case.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHH

Seeing Sonocchi there at school with the Yuusha-bu seems so normal, seeing as i've so recently watched Washio...
...then i clue in.

SONOKO IS BETTER TOO OMAGAD! I mean it was obvious she'd make a comeback, but actually seeing it brings so much joy and warmth to my heart.

That Tougou though . . . now i see what direction this plot is going to go in. I wonder why she's imprisoned wherever she is.

PS: [MajiYuusha] fansubs are god-tier.

They also have colour-coded text for characters, and font stress for vocal stress, the works.

Edit: have a sonocchi png!!

My gosh, Yuuna and Nogi are almost identical.

So... confusing yet interesting start... lost memories and all. I was expecting it to start directly where the other left off, guess not. I guess Mimori is being punished?

Cover image has 6... Docs from first half mentioned up to 6 heroes... so there we go.

Well, that was...a bit confusing...

Might make more sense in hindsight, as it tends to be with these sorts of shows, but I'll still call it like it is for now.

Nevertheless, I'm still pretty eager to see what's in store for our dear Hero Club girls and what fates await them, however brief this new season may be. Especially since they've got Sonoko on their side now, in all of her hilarious and adorable glory xD

Also, friendly reminder:

...right, guys?

The feeling that something is missing and that something went horribly wrong, all of this was shared even with viewers of this anime, I really wonder where Washio is... It was certainly nice to see Sonoko lively again but something precious has been torn out of our hearts, this series certainly isn't the same without her.
That being said I'm not really certain who was the girl in flames.

My theory: Washi probably went to serve as plumb to the wall she broken through or to save Gin (there wouldn't be grave visit in this episode if it wasn't important). I hope they will save Gin at the end of this season somehow.

Finally I decided to began this one.

So basically Sonoko return and Togo disapear. I want to know more about this. I was waiting to see all girls together in this continuation, not this mystery about what happened with Togo.

The tone shift from going "OMG what's wrong with our memories" to seeing Tougou playing the hero of justice was horrible and completely ruined the mood, they should have just got straight to the point.

Agreed. The whole episode was a mess for me because of the pacing :S I'm also not too happy about another season being all about Tougou... She is interesting, but I just can't like her as much as nearly everyone else.
I'm happy Sonocchi is back at least! Best girl next to Yuuna :'D

I hope the plot will make more sense, especially without having read any of the LNs, which shouldn't be a requirement.

Don't worry, this season turned out to be pretty good so i hope you enjoy the rest of the series.

As for the LNs, other than catching some references and more empashis on world building, they aren't a requirement.

If you'd like to get into the LNs, i recommend reading "Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha de Aru" which is the story of the first ever Hero Team and for me the best entry in the YuYuYu franchise.

Other than the stories you've already seen in anime form, there's also "Kusunoki Mebuki wa Yuusha de Aru" but it's probably the weakest story told so far.

That's reassuring, thanks :D

I've read about the Nogi Wakaba LN when I delved into all the different Yuusha stories, and it seemed pretty interesting so I'll probably do so in the future :)

I am really fucking scared because this entry in the series is so divisive, with a bunch of fans I know considering the worst of them all. Since there were some production issues and so on and so forth, I've prepared myself for the absolute worst clusterfuck I can ever experience.

About this episode... it felt really strange. That's the intended effect of course. They mixed some stuff from Sonoko After and new content. I have some ideas about what MIGHT be going on here but it's just speculation.

Also let's play "Catch the NoWaYu references". I have two so far.

I forgot to mention this: the OP theme is fucking great.

Nice to see the bedridden girl Sonoko in action again. Surprised that she's actually a very cheerful person.

Things would be looking fine. But why did Tougo disappear? And who is messing up their memories?
