| It's harder to count the chapters of a novel series because they don't build consecutively upon each other. Novels are published in volumes rather than a periodical like a Manga would be (where keeping count of chapters is more important) It might be volume 13 of the story, but the chapters within it will probably still say like 1-9 and not something like 108-117. The count isn't updated because none of the novel's fans have gone through and counted the chapters. |

If no one that own all the volume goes through the task of adding them all and submit the result, it's not going to be updated. I've done it quite a lot on MAL for the novels I read. Haven't read that one though, so cannot do it. |
