The question above. I really enjoyed s1 back in the day and I want to start s2, but I was wondering if I need a refresh and if it's better to watch from the beginning of the series. I remember all important characters and most of the main events; the first names not so much. Is this season the kind of show to give us reminders/flashbacks of what happened previously, or will it assume I know absolutely everything that happened in 2013? Thanks in advance!

I wound up rewatching the first season cause part of this show's strong points is its use of subtlety. You really don't NEED to rewatch it but there are so many small interactions that lead into big things this season that you may not have picked up on. It really didn't use any real flashbacks or infodrops of past events so if you can recall alot go right ahead and jump in.

I personally do think rewatching season 1 greatly improved my opinion of season 2 though, watching them back to back shines light on just how cohesive a series it is from S1 to 2 and the way it wraps up alot of unanswered questions really helps improve the entire product. I also enjoy watching it from s1 to s2 to see how the character focus shifts and how characters like kaisei Yaijirou and Nidaime (S2 character)take alot more center stage than they did before.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply! :D I'll start a binge rewatch before dipping into s2, then.

enjoy it, wouldnt mind if you shoot a reaction or too of what you think, always good to talk to someone about this criminally underrated series.
