A lot of silly and impossible moments. Started off really stupid and cliche too (I mean ur 14 and u think a tiger reincarnated in a man older than the tiger? Wtf). But the political war was quite enjoyable to watch. I also wish there was more to the ending.
Even when I was in crowd, I was always alone

Way late to the game but I just binged on this whole series and I am completely in love. So much that I’m writing my first real post to share some final thoughts in response to other posts I’ve seen for the episodes. The overall takeaway for me was a very positive one.

Toranosuke was indeed useless as a bodyguard but I realize now he has been useful for intel. One thing I found funny was they all show up at the palace to meet gramps and he is still dressing like a kid; everyone is in business attire. He has no right to complain about the baby face when he’s not even trying to look like an adult!

What’s her name started hearing the voice of God again.

Poor Carl always got injured and kept from the good action but he found love in the end by way of a repaired relationship with his father.

Eugene will have his heartache but he’s content plus he is going to be hanging out on the island; …maybe someday he’ll pull a Jacob/Renesmee thing and marry one of the kids (j/k). I like how there were some friendly rival jabs still going between him and Li Ren in their last scene together. And now it will be like the beginning on the island with Kajika, Li Ren and a good friend named Mustafa.

Rumaty will find his queen one day, no doubt about it. In the meantime, this appears to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship with his newly expanded family, in particular uncle Harry. I did think it was pretty lame how Rumaty was practically the LAST to find out about the lineage (I mean even the bodyguard kid knew already, come on). But it all ended well with everyone down to Fred & Mahaty having the opportunity to reunite; very touching scenes.

In previous episode forums, lots of people are ripping on the last four or so episodes, saying they are useless/the show should have ended. I disagree. There were a lot of great final moments and I appreciate that none of it felt rushed. We already had hints and pretty much knew that Harry would approve of Li Ren for Kajika. It really heightened the impact of him being the right choice for her, however, as we got to see others (such as Maria’s) support and during these episodes we learn the full weight of the “game” and how much more it makes sense. Harry did in fact set this all up because he was all for Li Ren and that the other men, great as they are, were chosen to show just how much they were up against in a MC such as Li Ren.

Finally, of course, K & L have their happy ending as well. The “rescuing” scene in the helicopter was so fun! A bit of a reversal on the typical boy-rescue-girl cliche. In all, all the MCs and main supporting characters had healing and love brought about in their lives. Sure, there were some over-the-top parts, some cheesy bits, etc etc, but -- This is one of the most pleasing series I have watched in terms of storytelling (great combo of romance + political), character development and a best of all, despite there being many scenes that brought me to tears, it also managed to have a very satisfying wrap-up.

i'm literally bawling my frickin eyes out.

that was such a beautiful ending... everybody together...
Kajika & Li Ren in love and back on their island at last.. Mustafa with them..
Harry & Rumati together, hinting at finding him a match (lmao)...
Carl taking care of his father...
Najayra hearing the voice of Ragi again...

god, what a great show. i took a break in between the boring episodes of political discourse, but, seriously, this show was great and concluded things very well. perfect ending.

i mean, what did people expect? the show to go on and show Carl and Mustafa and Rumati dating random women, signifying they found their true love, as well? absurd.

The story didn't need to go that far, and if it had, it would have undermined its realistic premises (which were of course, already glorified, but not so much so that it no longer carried meaning). :3

All the guys had amazing development and good fortune in finding meaning in the things they did. Carl, Mustafa and Rumati all had obstacles and goals, and not to find a wife but other significant lessons.

Carl, Mustafa and Rumati all overcame their biggest obstacles. They will all find partners in time. It's so beautiful how far they all came... I can't believe I'm so proud of these fictional characters.

In the beginning, I found myself fluctuating between liking and disliking Kajika's character. There are times when she seemed too privileged and stupidly naïve (especially with men), yet I admired her straightforwardness and zest for life. It took her growing up and her actions that I found her favorable.

I've never been a big fan of harem's, including reverse, but this one had a intriguing storyline which caused to to give it a 9 ranking. I would have given it a 10, but the ending was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I loved that Kajika made a choice, but the other dudes (the losers) are just still just stringing along, pinning for the lost prize. That's not a good ending, IMO.

Eugene/Mustafa, you really need to find a woman; someone strong, smart, worldly and one you can't charm and manipulate with your good looks. Carl, you too; you need a tender, loving, domesticated type after all that bullying from your sisters. Toranosuke, you need to go find Yui and capture her heart. Rumaty, I'm not too concerned about, he'll have women up the wazuu - he's the king afterall.

If there is an OVA, it should focus on these men finding and pursuing their own love. I wouldn't be adverse to Kajika having something to do with it either, it just needs to happen.

I'm glad Li Ren finally got hhis act together toward the end; he had me worried for a minute.

Before going to the good side please let me rant a little.

WHAT'S WITH THOSE RECAP SCENES? I WAS SHOCKED I THOUGHT IT WAS FINISHED. I didn't read the manga so I don't know if it was like that or not but, whatever it looked like in the manga, I hope they can make a wiser decision by adding extra scenes. What the hell were they trying to do with adding recap scenes in the middle of a heartwarming moment?! It just ruined the mood and mine.

Move on to the good side, I have to admit that the scene when Li-Ren and Zao argued until Kajika finally came to take him was executed very "lively" but actually it was good. It's pretty silly but I find it.... awesome? Like, from the start we knew that Eugene had helped Kajika since the first day she took off the Burnsworth name, the only thing that didn't make much sense was Noei who suddenly came with his subordinates on Rumaty's orders. But the scene when he rescued Li-Ren from Zao was so… exciting. It was as if they all were telling that the one Zao had to fight wasn't just Li-Ren but all of them. Also, even though I don't have any feelings for Lin Li, I want to thank her for saying that before Li-Ren left her. I know it hurts, thank you for letting him go and accepting all of this. I hope for the best and the best only for you, Lin-li.

I didn't expect Eugene to go to Givolli with them :3 Well he is Mustafa after all. He needs to be with his master xD

On the other hand, we have Carl who decided to make up with his father and accompany him in his old age. Rumaty and Harry too, accompanied Machaty in his last days before he reunited with his true love in Heaven. I hope for the best for these guys too.

Because of Eugene's nature so I think he will never get married with anyone, Li-Ren too had already with Kajika, so if Carl ever needed someone I'm here for you, lol. I can do the chores and make your sisters stop bothering you :) or being Rumaty's? Sounds great but the burden of being the Queen looks so heavy.

To be honest I had hoped that Li-Ren would have shot at least the wall behind Zao to show him that he IS Fang Li-Ren. But yeah, Li-ren loved everyone in Fang group. He would never do that... unless.

Anyway that ending scene, I loved that Li-Ren always hugged Kajika from the back. Although I often rant about something from this serie but I was so happy seeing that ending scene. They're finally being together in their happy place. I hope Eugene didn't stay there for a long time because he just tortured his heart seeing Kajika with Li-Ren xD and I hope everyone will reunite together one day!
