What is the chance of Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku getting more seasons?
Like I've been told there's 7 arcs in the novel and the anime only covered 1 of those. Does anyone know how well this sold/got popular enough in Japan to get more than 1 season?

I really wanted to see a second season, but yeah, the final ep was stupid.
It makes me wonder why I bothered watching this anime at all.
It doesn't deserve a s2. Even if it gets one, I'll never watch it

Unless the are already planning another season (which is unlikely) or making a ton of cash with the DVD/Blu ray sales (also unlikely), the odds are very slim.
Vol. 1 isn't out yet, so we have no idea how popular the show is in Japan.

There are 6 arcs out yet. The next arc (Restard) have 532 pages (the first arc have 284), that means the second season need at least 24 episodes. The Anime is a good adaption. the only problem is, that the most fights are too slow. The chance that it get a second season is 50% (I think). Restart is (in my opinion) far better than the first arc. I hope, that a second season come soon.

(Btw. Sorry if I wrote something wrong ^^)

I heard the LNs sell well. Let's see how the anime effects the LN sells.
I haven't updated in years but now I have changed that. I'll be free soon.

Considering that they adapted a teeny bit of a post-1st arc story, in the last few minutes, I'd say chances are NOT 0 but still very slim. It'd basically be MGRP: RESTART (literally) with a new cast (for the most part) and may get compared to SAO due to how that story is.

Light novel sales are never really that high for this series but not really that low either. Only the first two arcs really saw small sales boosts due to the anime and the most recent volume sold better than just about every other release before it in its first week. We'll see and honestly I'd be interested to see how it plays out but it's better to read the novels for the time being.

The BDs are not really doing that well, but it was expected. It's still doing slightly better than most other shows this season in BD sales however.

It is a struggle to have the BD sell well. Who in the right mind will throw 60 bucks for two episodes?

BDs cater to hardcore fans. The BDs also include a small novel and drama CD alongside the episodes so it's not like it's a bare release. There's one novella per volume (x4) and one drama CD (x4) of previously unvoiced material. So you can expect to hear some revived La Pucelle among other characters in the coming months!

I think for the most part it's hard for any series to sell BDs due to how pricy they are but at least they add these goods here and there to make them worth while (ish)

The ones in America are still a better deal and going after the hardcore is never cost effective. I just started reading the LNs. It's pretty good.

It isn't but the hardcore are the only ones that really buy discs even in Japan. You'll get things like Ghibli movies that sell to casual viewers over a long period of time but generally if you can get a huge hardcore fanbase like for things like Gundam or some of the fujoshi series, you'll be set as far as money goes.

I don't think sales will determine whether or not this gets a new season since LN sales are generally not really that high and I don't think they expect BDs to sell that well so it's up to people showing interest in the material.

Yeah sometimes I feel it is just politics and looking at the market when it comes to season 2 in general.

I don't like how it gets compared to other shows when it isn't like other shows.

I love the LNs but last chapter on anime kinda sucked. Hope they get another studio and they adapt it better than Lerche

Well I don't know much about the books, but I liked the anime and I thought it had a satisfying ending. I don't think it needs a second season, but if it gets one I might watch it.

I really hope there is a sequel. :(
The best thing will be how Koyuki (Snow White) changed so drastically, probably like that Homura from "that franchise". Two or three seasons probably the best without leaving absurdity.
The last anime ending is so absurd.

Honestly the chances are rather slim. But I mean there's more content (assuming it has more), however we ain't sure how it's doing much over there.
