| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I guess Hikari is still trying to get used to hear new gear but I do like her determination. She and Sadako has some hard time getting along though as comrades. The action was pretty tense and I gotta give Sadako some credit for protecting Hikari although she's being a bit of a daredevil. Seriously, that recklessness could of gotten her killed especially since her flying gear wasn't at 100%. In the meantime, Nipa is slowly becoming my favorite character in this show. |

| Kanno isn't very open towards Hikari but she did show some change towards her ones she saw what she was capable of. Hikari still needs a lot of work before she starts performing good this also applies to her skill of seeing the core. She still needs a lot of training. And Nippa demonstrating her signature behaviour of breaking unit, makes me wonder how many she will need over the course of this anime. The 507th isn't that far away either from the looks of it. |

| Hikari was given a lifesaver when she was able to help Nipa and Kanno in defeating the Neuroi and return back to base safely. This has brought her more time at the base for now, but she needs to give it 100% in her training if she wants to stay for a lot longer. The CGI still needs improving though. At times, it looks and moves fine, but other times it looks sloppy. Silver Link did a better job with the CGI in the Strike Witches Operation Victory Arrow OVA's, so I hope they step up their game here. I do see Kanno being proper friends with Hikari inevitably. She's acting bitchy towards her now, but in due time, I see Hikari gaining her respect with each episode. =) Good episode overall. |
| Hmm the squadron looks to have a pretty good cast of characters within its ranks Wow Kanno really has a attitude problem there i get it that she viewed Takami as a rival and at the same time a comrade but hating her sister who replaced her is just childish Lol its nice to see that Hikari is getting along with the rest of the girls that form the squadron Combat scenes in this episode was as good as always But im liking the fact that they are showing that Hikari's abilities improve slowly rather than being capable in just one action Wow Hikari has some amazing stamina and the teamwork used to defeat that nemoi was just amazing Well im glad that Kanno is at least warming up to Hikari she's your typical tsunade lol Another great episode that advanced the plot while also developing the characters. Most of the girls here i find are likable in their own ways |

| Hikari is pretty much worthless out there, and I'm glad the anime isn't shying away from that fact. Her moment of usefulness was in line with her already known strengths and even then she still messed it up at the end. All that said, I would have given her a month to train her to see if she's worthwhile, but it looks like the commander decided to give her one week. I'm really excited to see how Hikari will improve because it looks like this anime isn't taking the easy way out. |
| The story seems better than in SW, and that's a good thing, but everything else is disappointing so far... -Almost no fan service: come on, it's a Strike Witches spinoff... Strike Witches was always about fanservice, the whole premise of the show was about fanservice and gratuitous panty shots. Here it's almost non existent, and when it's there it's poorly done and ugly. I would not have cared as much if it was the orignal creator who decided to make gradual changes in his series, but here the author is dead and Silver Link is removing a key element of his creation. I don't see why you would make a spinoff of a popular ecchi series if you don't want to make ecchi but just another generic moe military show. To me that's direspectful to the original work, like if JC staff decided to make a TTGL spinoff after the death of Hiroyuki Imaishi, but without any mechas and over the top battles. -The CGI is terrible. Battles in SW were exciting, with beautiful animation. Why is Silver Link unable to have the same animation quality that Gonzo had 10 years ago while in financial struggle? And so far the girls seem to stand out less than the girls in SW, both in terms of design and personality, but i'll wait to see how they're developed. |

| Yay! Now that thinks big, the narration while having the dictates of the episode in which you do the introductions of new characters, was managed so as not to be boring and made the interesting situations, you feel that the story is moving, giving us a few but very useful references. Management of CG, better, when compared with the past, both qualitatively and transition with hand-drawn. Beautiful backdrops and quite meticulous in design, in short, I did not find unforgivable flaws and has taken a step forward. Beautiful as always the eyecatch. Characters still poorly characterized, but already Kanno proves to be unique with respect to the witch seen so far in the series. No one has posted the image of eyecatch? Buu! |

| Okay seriously... why did they screw up the visuals so badly? Like, WOW! The CGI is f**king horrendous, even worse than Kantai Collection. I tried ignoring it at first, but I just can't any longer. This is extremely bad quality, and extremely lazy. The old shows look 10x better than this, how could this be? Even with Kantai Collection I overlooked the CGI cause it wasn't used all the time. But here... even when standing still they are using CGI. All the cool animations and movements from the previous shows/movies, we'll never see stuff like that ever again. Its starting to sink in more and more... being an artist myself, these things are extremely glaring. |

I like Hikari's determination of going strong so that she can be like her sister and kanno despite she hated Hikari to join them I think in the last scene she starting to accept her :v well that's what i think of .. but literally nipa's boobs prevent her from falling  |

| This was pretty entertaining but still a bit cliche. I feel like they are using the same old plot again and again. literally nothing have changed. But since my standard for it wasn't high it was entertaining. The CGI was pretty bad and random, almost at the level of kancolle bad. Luckily they don't use it as often. |

Did you watch the episode? Do you always skip the OP? Overuse of the bad CGI is the main problem here I always watch the whole episode from start to finish. I don't remember much CGI in OP or ED as they are quite frankly very simple(And generic) and if it did I didn't notice(means GJ) or if I did but forgot... Not very important since it is not the actual show itself. Kancolle had way more CGI(and most if not all was bad) and by going that standard I don't think this even had that many. I can recall around 2-3 maybe 4 scenes with CGI. Hardly call that a lot. And if there are more it wasn't noticeable enough to be glaringly ugly. |

| Kanno so hostile against Hikari. Hikari almost got booted-out of the 502nd Joint Fighter wing! A lot of stamina is the only good attribute that Hikari is showing. 4/5. |

| The narrative teaches us how strange life can sometimes be: you are not good at certain things or you are not yet ready, but qualities all possess and can be a resource, so no one is useless in this world, just not enough break down and go straight on your way. Episode that builds the relationship between Hikari and the group, a deja vu like success in Strike Witches, even if here the rock seems to be a little more difficult; overall the episode is enjoyable and fun, too. The backgrounds are excellent, so are the drawings, the CG is still disgusting, oh well! The new ending is catchy. |

| Okay, Hikari introduced herself to the unit, and that was sure had a various responses. Not gonna attached them at all in one episode, but Waltrud respond was the best among them with her constant teasing. Lol, i saw some woman of culture behaviour on her mark. Its nice to watched her interaction when the times has come. Well, Hikari getting a dislike gesture by that chibi Kanno. Its understandable seeing her hatred at the previous episode. However, seeing their squadron leader, Rall, still having some hope toward Hikari, i thought its a good decision from her. Not until i realized, she had some kind of a cruelty habit if she was find something unworthy to defend. And it seems she trusted Rossman quite much on these episode, as that second chibi sergeant that called herself as a basic experience trainer for the witches stated that Hikari was worthless to the unit. I hope to see more depth of their characterization. Since these episode kinda gave me some negativity vibes toward their characters. Well, maybe they both just a hardworker type of girls, so they looked so serious on these episode. Its good to saw them both in a more casual style, and wanted them at an ecchi mode too. Lol. Lets see if my wishes can become a truth .... Back to Hikari. Since the process was ofc kinda slower than they could expect from her, she needed to show something worthy about herself and be useful to the team. She even almost got dumped if her last attempt won't get a good result. Fortunately, her decision to help Kanno was brilliant. She was using Nipa as her weapon, together with her strong will, high stamina, and an endurance that brought back a victory to post-poned her homecoming, for a while. Well, well, keep up your hardwork, Hikari. I believe everyone would change their mind if you show your best skill as a witch! At least she already found a nice friend at her first day. Its Nipa, like Miyafuji with Lynnete in the SW. But, surely their friendship kinda fast, thanks to Nipa kindness behaviour toward a newcomer, and its already brought some better relations with Kanno after what happened on these episode .... Lets see the next! |

| Well, this Finnish girl Nipa seems friendly.. ;P Kanno might just be grumpy, because she waited for Takami for a long time.. So of course it's disappointing that things went wrong.. She might even not be grumpy type or anything.. Just maybe because of Takami she's like this.. But who knows.. Hikari's seeing core power probably has some condition.. Like being in stress.. Or something like that.. Or maybe she needs to learn how to activate it.. Well, we'll see with time, I hope.. |
