I enjoy spending my time reading manga, light novels, visual novels, and anime. I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Vocaloids as well.
I don't mind any type of genres for my anime/manga tastes, but anything that doesn't have to do with mechas are fine with me. Yes I will watch/read Yaoi, BL, Yuri, and the fetishes that come with them (ashioki, megane, etc. etc.)
There is no type of anime, manga (doujinshi or official), light novel, and VN that isn't loved, and I like to take the time to enjoy them (even if I dislike mecha, I will give it a chance if people keep telling me to read or watch it!), I do not believe in dropping an anime. Once I've set out to watching it, no matter how terrible it is I will finish it.
My votes on anime/manga and their rating are all similar. I believe all anime could be interesting and well thought out (that includes Hentai) and I refuse to give a certain genre special treatment just because it's categorized differently.

Yes, I'm rather harsh when it comes to scores, and since NGNL is so obviously bad there was no way for me to give it anything better than a 2. But if you really understand my review then you know that I don't think the show's final score is all that important when it comes to describiing the watchability of NGNL.
Don't you think this is an important question we should all be asking ourselves?
