Legion City Situation - (19/09/2016)

"I'm taking a break on RPing for at least a week, not just because of the recent conflict, that's actually a very small part of it. If I were at top shape, I would address it and find a solution like usual, however over the past few weeks I've had a rough time not only here and on the internet in general but in real life in particular too. Thus, I am leaving my Overseer to the care of the admins (either MontyMars or Wym can take over her for me) and in the case of balance concerns for Sakurako, I'm allowing the admins who know what I meant her to be used like to make her viable to use as intended but satisfying those who think she's OP.

To place a final comment on the people who were dissatisfied with things such as balance and admin competence, I would need to outline the two main objectives and spirit of the club: 1. To battle in a fun way where everyone can be cool and everyone has a chance, however slight it can be. In this club, from the first place, there was no intention of having one objective baseline that can be put for every battle, it was always about merely balancing characters as to not be too gamebreaking, then expecting the users to act reasonable. Just as in stories like in comics and manga, power fluctuates and balance is put second behind entertainment and plot, in this club there can be nobody who simply crushes another in one hit, even if it is possible, because it's against the spirit of the club, in which you can get stronger and have a higher chance to win but never 100%. The point is not to win in each battle, the point is to have fun. That's why in each battle, from the first time this club was conceived the admins were supposed to judge from a case by case basis for the purpose, not to judge who is wrong and loses and who is right and wins, but to make an outcome which both parties will like and be okay with. This is the soul of the club and if you think this is illogical or unacceptable, then I'm sorry but you don't get the club and I suggest you move to a more suitable RP for yourself. Don't bother trying to change something that's never, ever going to change.

2. We want to make a community and a club where everyone is nice to each other, somewhat like Monia Cafe with the exception that you can be slightly mean and curse but only in goofy and fun ways in which both parties don't feel bad. Being rude and making other people feel bad is not what we want at the club and is even more important than the actual RPing. In other words, when one is offended by you, it is not them who needs to "man up", it is you who has to stop.

Recently before I hung up my hat temporarily I found that several members, including @Whoremoans , @Nice , @Canaas , and @RedPtolemy (but less so for the last one) have been guilty of blatantly bullying @SoulXTreme. Balance or not, RP or not, this is extremely unacceptable. This is cyberbullying and should not only be eradicated from this club but from the internet and the world as a whole. No matter how useless, how much of an idiot, and how immature someone is, bullying is never the answer and will never, ever be tolerated. Banter is alright when both parties are okay. When one party feels threatened or feels bad because of it, it becomes bullying, and it was clear that this was the case. I sincerely hope that all the bullies involved will be given stern warnings, if not outright bans by the current admins. If not, I will certainly retroactively enact it when I return.

When I do return, I hope that everyone understands the spirit of this club and either accepts it, tries to compromise and tolerate it, or, if it comes down to it, leave the club for everyone's sakes, and that the club becomes the nice place that we, the original admins wanted to make; A fun club where strong and weak RPers alike can have fun, reasonable battles and everyone is nice to each other and helps each other when any of us feel bad. Let's all be good people in a great club people!"
