| Alright. BRS fans, lend me your versions, what is, with the closest you can get to an exact pinpoint in time and place, BLACK ROCK SHOOTER's true origin? The artist was Huke, but the story maker? The time of year? Who else was involved and long did she exist before Miku made her famous? Yes, I have read the anime synopsis but I've heard so many variations that I, and I'm sure many others, would like to know what her real story is. |
| Yeah, that pretty much sums up what I know aswell. The debate is hard to prove with VOCALOID fans until you can pinpoint the time BRS was created, hence why I'm trying to figure this out. That and what contributed to her story |

Apparently, the character Black Rock Shooter was around before Miku was even out yet, but didn't have the final design on her outfit. When Supercell approached Huke with the proposition to make a song of BRS, he altered the character BRS to look more like Miku for the song. That's all I've heard so far, though. :/ |
| I'd be told she was inspired by Miku and created after Miku. Then released a song as Miku. So it seems like to me she IS Miku Hatsune. At least a Miku Hatsune alter ego, that is. Yes, it's not the same. Inspiration and an overlay on top of a character aren't the same. But depending on how things go I take it they will be pretty interchangeable and Huke will be treated as a Miku alter ego by both sides. Even if Miku was just an inspiration at first, they're pretty well inseparable now. Ehem, of course, none of us are sourcing anything yet. |

| I don't get it. Why is this character compared to Miku all the time? All they have in common at all is twin tails. Nothing else is the same at all. Sure, the VA sings. That's all. |

Black Rock Shooter, as far as I know, is a completely unrelated project. I could be wrong, but that was my understanding. |
