This is some great news for the fans, I just hope they don't mess up the translations.

That's good news, but it won't catch up to the fan translation let alone start for a good spell.

On one hand, it's great to have an official translation. On the other hand, it's Yen Press. Oh well, so long as they don't take eons to catch up with the current volumes...

It will take years to get a glimpse of vol 10 now.

I think Vol 9's a Megumin volume, so I guess I'll be sated for a while :I

Yeah. Although skythewood said he would stop at vol 9, the vanir spinoff will be translated so that's a plus somewhat. :/

Yeah, more Vanir is never a bad thing. It's just such a pity though. We could've been relatively up-to-date if they didn't go and licence it :V

I mean, Explosion side-story will also stop ;__;

I'm pretty sure they'll finish the explosion side story. (Volume 3 is the last)

Considering Yen Press seem to have a 3-4 month wait time between each release for their other stuff...well just a 2-3yrs wait time, I guess? Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that they seem to have a hit or miss reputation when it comes to translating LNs...

I'm worried they won't, as Sky only mentioned Vol 9 and the Vanir side-story.

Thank goodness. I wanted to read the light novel after watching the anime, however the DMCA took down the main translating project for it.

It's to be expected because the anime was popular anyway.

That's if they start putting out a translation this year, but Yen Press got Oregairu last July and the first volume is scheduled for September of this year. just over a year later.

Let's just hope somebody will pick it up regardless of Yen Press license. It's not like there were no prior precedents.

P.S. Half of their novels aren't available digitally in my country of residence and the wait is killing me.
