Actually not that close, the manga will be on ch. 23- , this season will probably end in chapter 19-/18- (I don't remember correctly when the game ends), so we should get a new season mid. 2017 to early 2018. | I think season 3 will most likely have 12 episodes and cover the Shiratorizawa match, but not much else. The manga has just barely moved on from that match, it took super long to finish - 9 entire months to be exact (from end of March 2015 to Christmas 2015). I'm guessing they want to finish up the finals against Shiratorizawa since the manga has completed it and then wait for some more content to be published. The manga has been progressing much faster now that the Shiratorizawa match is over. In a year or so, we'll be at an entirely different point in the story. So, a fourth season, well... possibly yes, but it'll probably be a while. |

At this point it's had a lot of success, there's no reason to think it won't be adapted entirely. Like you say, it's just the waiting game for the manga. So hyped for the next season dammit, i need it now, they ended s2 really well. I hope it's not too long :( |

| Considering they still have to go on to nationals, then yes there will be more material to adapt. It all depends on if the anime sells well enough for more seasons though. |

| I'm definitely hoping for more than 3 seasons! I also feel like it will have more than 3 from how popular the manga/animes are... hopefully that popularity will hold so they keep making more seasons. xD |

| Yes, Haikyuu!! is one of the most popular manga in Japan and there's a ton of merchandise too and the manga doesn't seem anywhere close to finished. However, it'll probably be a while before S4 airs because S3 almost catches up with the manga currently. I think we can expect S4 somewhere late 2017 or early 2018 if HQ!! can keep up its sales. |
