| Another anime discussion, this time on the absurdly awful (apart from the dub) show called Ghost Stories! Since the story is nothing special spoiler tags aren't really necessary since we're probably just going to end up discussing the dub anyways. The first two episodes were ok. There weren't a ton of hilarious moments but I heard that it gets more crazy and incoherent around the middle. Some favorite lines: -"Your cat's probably dead" followed by incoherent babbling -Every time the youngest kid just babbles incoherently really -"I'm gonna beat your ass!" "You sure do talk about my butt a lot" -That one teacher at the end of the first episode and the other teacher in the second |

| lol this was great. the babbling is a lot funnier than I thought it'd be. "The only person I've had sex with is my babysitter.." WHAT HAHA on a side note, the glasses guy, hajime (? darker skin boy) and the christian girl are all voiced by major characters in NHK, kinda weird to hear their voices so soon again. |

| Yeah, I was trying to figure out what he was saying and then I realized it was just nonsense XD It was hilarious. And after she read the book and said, "I hate you mother." Also "You're taking a dump?" "I prefer dropping the kids off at the pool." Like what? XD |

| Up to episode 7 now, oh my gosh was episode 5 funny xD "Ass boy" xD xD The scene where they break the third-fourth wall a few times Episode 6 was pretty funny too, I actually liked the monster design for this one |

| Episode 8 was good but 9 was GLORIOUS. I could not stop laughing at that one. The rabbit girl was hilariously awkward and weird xD |

| I just found out that Ghost Stories has another dub from Animax. It's pretty much the real dub of the original show. They renamed the show "Ghosts at School", and they changed the mother's name to Karen. I'm trying to find it so I can see how it sounds. But I can't find it unfortunately :c Bramble here, apparantly I can edit others posts? could I do that before? anyways yeah I heard about that |

| So I finished Ghost Stories and the dub did meet my expectations. Despite that the show has a really weak plot, and a lot of the episodes didn't even make any sense: the dialogue really did save it from becoming a hot mess. I loved how they broke the 4th wall several times and pointed out how bad the show's writing is.The running gags were pretty funny, even if they might be really offensive to someone, or got old as the show progressed. I guess a con of the show would be it can be really offensive to an extent with some of the jokes regarding racism, homophobia, religion, and mental disabilities. Not that I particularly mind, but a lot people nowadays would try to boycott this show if the dub had came out in 2015. I guess another con would be that show felt too short. I'm not sure what the original sub wanted to do with the story, because a lot of the ghosts felt really random and they seemed to add nothing to the terrible plot. Also, I wanted more episodes for the dub alone. All in all, there was so many great one liners and I loved all the characters. The use of adult humor was done well in my opinion, and they referenced a lot of old actors which was great. Poor Christian Slater, he can never get a break. The show is definitely a memorable one. 8/10 |

| just finished! man I really liked the cat. I forgot that was the whole point of them trying to put the ghosts to sleep so they could get the cat back. man that was amazing. I imagine it'd be even funnier if it were made now (as I didn't get all the references) although like swift said it'd probably be protested. man that was funny. |
