So I'm about 6 episodes into the anime, and I'm wondering about something.

I just found out that both white and black are anime-original characters, so does that mean the plot of this anime is nothing like its manga? Or are those two characters just simple additions to the 'story'?

Also, a lot of people say this anime iis confusing or all over the place. Now I'm not insulting the anime or defending it, but why do people see it as such?

As for me I like this anime's soundtrack and atmosphere. However, I always feel like something is missing. Like a story that doesn't exist. So far every episode(again i'm on 6) feels episodic, but not unwatchable. I don't feel like the story has a set direction, that is just me personally. It is more like stuff just happens...

So thanks for reading, and hopefully I didn't offend anyone, lol

Hello! I haven't read the manga (dont have money :c) but I'll answer you the best I can!

Yes, they are anime original. This whole anime was just a promotional stunt to promote the manga since hardly anything is translated online.

The plot is all over the place because they adapted random chapters of the manga series for, again, promotional value. I'm going to guess and say the chapters they adapted (like the vampires) are all separate arcs.

I found the anime extremely enjoyable and the soundtrack outstanding, but I agree there isn't really a set goal in this adaptation. The anime on the other hand after awhile starts to develop a plot focused around Black and White (the ending made me sad tbh).

Loved the ending so I gave it brownie points for that.

I hope this helped. I know you posted this like 2 weeks ago but hahah.

Thanks for answering my questions :D! In the end the series was enjoyable, I really liked the last episode as well. His speech, and the overall episode got kind of sad, but it was a fun ride while it lasted.

No worries about being 2 weeks late, a reply is always better than no reply :P

Oh I'm glad I was of help haha. Ahh I'm glad you enjoyed it as well. The ending is really strong and it was worth the long hiatus the fandom had to endure, that's just my opinion of course haha.

I hope you had a good holiday! ^.^

Like AnimeZ0id said, it has an anime original ending. However, all the "monster-of-the-week" episodes are from the manga, only the Black/White arc is anime-original.

Whoah, Black & White are anime original? What a bummer... I actually wanted to look into manga to see if their story had continued somehow. But of course I could not find any manga translated worth a damn.
I shall know no fear as I am fear incarnated
