| I was never bothered by negging. If I told any of the girls I know that they are probably horrible at cooking, I highly doubt any of them would take offense. They would laugh and take it as a challenge. The same goes for when Sung-gi called her ugly. She was all jittery and he used it to calm her down. Of course, I would never do what he did if I was on my first date with someone. Sung-gi, however, has hung out with her before, so he knows she's not usually like that and she knows that as well. In which case, calling her ugly isn't all that bad because Sea-na knows exactly what he's talking about. As for Douchebag Mcgee, he bought the ring and immediately went for the negative. In the food case, Sea-na brought up that she was good at cooking first and that's when Sung-gi went for a negative, so it's much easier to accept as playful. |

I never really thought about it as a teasing manner, to be honest; come to think of it, I have spoken to the girls I know that way as well (without being offensive). I'd take what I said about the ugly part with a grain of salt haha, but my point still stands for my other points that in a lot of situations, negging will just come off as playful. In other situations, it can be a really bad thing to do. |
