Elitist Starter Anime

If you're trying to get someone who is new to anime or has shit taste to get into the kind of anime that we like around here, what do you think you should start them with, so that they don't get bored and they can still follow it.
Basically name some beginner elitist titles that are easier for a wider audience to get into.

Well I watched Welcome to the NHK when I finished like 10 shows iirc.
(I found out thatanimesnob channel by mistake and was a snob clone for a while... anyways checked out his top anime videos and was interested about NHK).
So I'll say that.
