| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was interesting way to wrap up the story arc/series. Loved the excitement of the second half though with the thrilling attack on the road. Major looks like she got into a bit of trouble. Not that I doubted her though but a mission at the dangerous level that she had to undertake this episode was quite something. This was like a cyber revolution with what Major is doing. Fantastic usage of OST too. |

| That AI with only the head is taken out. That spy lady is revealed early to be spy as she helped the enemy. US team are bring controlled and attacking to block their mission. In and out fight as usual. Eh~ every ghost they met in the past?? She got him but the spy abandoned him when he is no use anymore. Cannot wait for the movie. (There will be another special show next week) |

| Series was surprisingly uninteresting and dull. Maybe as a standalone it would work better, but knowing the quality of the original film and SAC this such a lifeless series. GitS shone in its calmer atmosphere, this one is pumped with action which is not what GitS is about. Very, very meh. |

| Pretty nice wrapup, I'm still wondering why they just didn't make a 5th movie all together, but then again this would make more money perhaps if they sold it like this? That said these two additional episode sure were interesting together with the 4 movies or 8 first episodes this story sure was nice to experience and is another lovely addition to GITS! |

| This was a pretty shitty series compared to the past series. The details were lacking this time around and the organization and coherence of the series was flat out horrible. I can only hope the movie is better. |

XD Kurutsu is still playing the game and she's meeting with some old geezer, perhaps the real Fire-Starter in the flesh, came to retrieve his versioned-up virus? | >major using her personal net www Pyrophoric was a pretty good arc, probably at least as good as OVA 4 as it had a nice balance between action and giving out now understandable information since all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together, well almost. mugi mentionned in episode 9's thread how Jeril deepens the theme of the link between appearance and essence, and it seems I only realise just now how the major and the Logicomas are both in red, not sure what kind of echos this is suppose to create. Overall it's a shame OVA 2 and 3 where weak and dragged the whole structure down, Arise wasn't that far from achieving greatness imho. It also avoided the flaws of SAC S2 namely a general design too close to the Matrix, a plot more political than cyberpunky (although those were already adressed in SSS). |

| Great episode! I love this arc, perfect balance between action/suspense and revelations. Still not as good as SAC, but pretty good to be part of the GITS saga. Wish Arise have arcs like this. I love how they brought in the chopper that similar to 2nd GiG. This one has more arsenals and more deadly weapons though. When they fought the american group while on optic camo was cool. Wish they showed a showdown on the snow with everyone taking cover and blasting away. Finally they showed Major's personal net. I though Pyromaniac was going to be like Kuze, but eh not even close. So the Prime Minister is male this time around. I give this an 8/10. I can't wait to finish the Firestarter arc in the new movie :) |
| It seems that Motoko's old unit will be the final boss in the film. I liked this quite a bit more than I expected. As a sidenote: She looks so good in a uniform :-) |

| I skipped the first 8 episodes as i had no intention of rewatching a meh series. These two episodes weren't that bad, good setup to the movie I intend to now watch. |

| Seems like her old boss will get defated in the sequel movie then? At least that would kinda make sense I guess. Overall not as good as SAC, still somewhat enjoyable to watch though. 6/10 |
| In the end it was well worth seeing this anime series to watch this final arc, even if it felt like everything was maneuvered by the usual character and that at the end everything would be fine for the Major and his team. I hope there is a sequel after this arc, it would be a shame to close the speech here. 7/10 |

| Certainly not a bad final arc this, but not particularly impressive either. I much prefer the SAC universe, in all honesty. I think I'm going to settle with a 6/10 here and give the Shin Movie a go later today. |
