| Of course girls are welcome! lol I think the point of this thread was that boys who watch / read BL are rare! So the OP was trying to see if there were other boys. .. And a year later, I resurrected the thread an announced that I am a boy. lol The shounen-ai / yaoi genre was created for a female audience, so most of the fans of the genre are in fact, female (fujoshi). So it's my understanding that us guys (fudanshi) who like that sort of thing are very rare. We're like unicorns or something. XD So yes, it being a BL club, and you being a girl, of course you're totally welcome.. lol. It's just rare to come across other guys who are into BL! Even gay guys. [I have two other gay male friends who watch anime and read manga, and they won't touch BL with a 40 foot pole even though they're gay! So fudanshis, even gay ones, are super rare.. so when fujoshis find us, it's like they've found a unicorn.. or a pikachu!.. lmao] As for me, I'll gladly accept friends of any gender who are into BL. I need people to fangirl with! lol |

| Perhaps there needs to be a term for genderqueer / non-binary people who like BL, if they don't feel the terms "Fujoshi" or "Fudanshi" fit? Gender isn't a dichotomy after all. Everything's just dichotomized (binary) by default. But in this case, eh, I'd select both. A vote in each category. lol. Not that that's possible, you only get one vote, sadly.. but, you know. Or pick the one that's closest to your identity? Like, if you're more feminine or masculine, or whatever. I know it ain't that simple though. lol. Really there should be a third option so trans* people aren't left out =D |

| I'll admit I'm a boy and yes I'm all for BL. Well I guess more specifically, shounen ai, but not so much yaoi. When it comes to real life, I'm not gay at all though, but with anime I just find myself really drawn to that area of it. |
