Well, so Jerome didn't change and is just after the money after all. I should've known.
Very fast-paced episode but I guess it makes sense since he's in a hurry to meet his real parents now. I would have loved to see more time with Lise though, Remi x Lise is just too cute <3.
Getting more backstory on the child kidnapping story was interesting, but it's probably still my least favorite part of the story. It just feels like a bit too much, but well.
I probably regret this post by now.

Okay episode, good to see Lise again. Jerome is still a douchebag, nothing has changed for him.

The backstory on the kidnapping was about as cliche as it can get, not going to lie.

Remi x Lise OTP ? I'd prefer the Mattia and Remi bromance... oh well.

I don't see any problem with the kidnapping considering Remi's originally from a rich family, sibling rivalry isn't unheard of. It's just a sad irony because Remi's kidnapping was pointless since it turned out his mother was pregnant again soon afterwards.

I do wish he spent at least a full episode with Lise, but I guess there's not much they could do with that episode. She can't talk and it would be boring if suddenly something happened whenever he visited one of the sibling. The short time they spent together this episode was used wisely and every moment mattered. One part put me on the edge of my seat though, when Lise was supposed to throw a rock for Mattia. Now this wasn't because she's a girl obviously, but it felt like a scene where they would foreshadow something bad happening by having her fail and then making us worry about Mattia considering the nature of the show. Glad it all went well. Not like it means much, Mattia, Capi and Joli Cour II could still fall dead the next episode if the show wanted it.

This is all going to be a bit too well.

Bit surprising the brother actually did the kidnapping himself, but the plan wasn't that bad.

So last episode's revelation wasn't the only one we got.

I loved how Remi reacted to knowing about his true parents, how Mattia tried to comfort him and how his foster mother dealed with it all, they are too good for this world. But Jerome is still the same, he doesn't care about Remi at all, only about the money, he's the worst.

So... Remi was kidnapped by his uncle because when his older brother died suddenly in a accident he felt that it was his chance to have all of their fortune to himself, but Remi was in the way so he got rid of him, but his sister-in-law was already pregnant with Arthur and his existence spoiled his plans.

One day he's fatally wounded in a petty duel or something and his conscience makes him confess to his crime, but he wasn't able to tell the whole truth and now Remi's mom is looking for him through the newspapers all over England, but she doesn't even know if he's still alive or that he was left in Paris, so that lawyer is really, really suspicious. He might be the person her brother-in-law gave Remi to and now for some reason he's trying to get to him first, he might be really dangerous or I might be overthinking, but it seems that Remi and Mattia are going to London now, I can't wait!

Oh, and Lise is doing well too! Their little fortune-telling moment was so sweet, I was afraid those stone skippings would foreshadow something bad, but they all skipped three time, it was precious.

As a side note: I wondered how Remi's father would be, but unfortunately he's already dead. I guess the only father figure he will ever have is Vitalis, making their shared journey all the more meaningful.
