Awww Yeah, everyone survived :D.
Well, at least from Remi's group, there seemed to have been a lot of other casualties :/.
Remi suddenly jumping into the water like that was a pretty rash decision and it almost killed him, but eventually it all worked out for the best.
I found it a bit weird that they were about to stop pumping out the water since that's something they'd need to do anyway. I'm assuming they want to still use that mine after all. But it made for a very touching scene when Mattia kept going and motivated the chief not to give up, so I guess it's okay.
I probably regret this post by now.

Damn... I actually felt an ominous atmosphere while watching this episode. It was an extremely intense episode but Remi jumping into the water was unrealistic as hell imo, when did he learn on how to swim ? Still loving this show tho, but it got its fair share of flaws as well.

The scene when Mattia was hitting the rail with Remi was fantastic, I'm loving this bromance!

^^It's not unrealistic. In fact, there are kids around his age in real life who can swim into the water very well, that's if they are trained or learned at a very young age.
Except it is. The mine was pitch black, he was swimming directionless and it was impossible for him to know the places where there was air left to breath. So yeah, it kinda was like killing himself for the sake of it.

Not too important in the bigger picture, but still challenging your suspension of disbelief regardless.

While a terrible thing happened with them getting trapped and the search for them almost quitting, the characters made it out completely safely. It was kinda refreshing seeing them work together rather than getting into a fight because of stress. A bit toned down compared to the books, but I still like this version. Remi's life is already tragic enough that he doesn't need

"Your sight, my delight. Will you marry me?"

What a suspenseful episode, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

I can only imagine the anguish that Mattia went through when the preliminary rescue efforts ended up declaring that Remi went missing. But he doesn't allow himself any time to think about it, he just starts digging with all his might, desperately helping the efforts to the point of not sleeping or eating for days, he knew that every single moment could be the difference between saving Remi or finding him dead.

Back in the mines, Remi was the one holding those adults together, at least he gave them courage after saving the life of two of them and talking about his promise to show Mattia his hometown, a promise that gave him strength in this trying time. I can't believe these kids have to go through so much, it was so moving to watch everyone trying their best to save those five lives, not even Alexis with his sprained ankle, Capi or Joli Coeur II were able to sit idly by.

That moment when Remi says goodbye to the people he cares for, accepting death, was so painful. I mean, his story isn't over so I knew he wasn't going to die here, but there were already so many deaths that one can't help but worry, I'm glad Vitalis sent him back to this side, it was a close call.

Everything was progressing well until a week went through, Mattia collapsed from overworking, and then everyone started giving up on hope, they didn't think that they would still be alive so the rescue efforts were halted. As soon as Mattia was able to stand he went there to find out that no one was trying anymore, but he alone wasn't going to let it end like this, he just said: "Are you kidding? As if I'm going to let my Remi die!" and started to dig again, but he had no energy left in his tired, little body, only his earnest feelings and his determination, but they were enough to move everyone, Who would be able to stand still seeing something like that? Mattia truly is the best! He saved Remi's life!

I was crying when they were finally able to reach each other, this anime is so painful, but it can be so rewarding, I can't even.

Feels so good to see them all make it, in spite of the rather large 41% mortality rate..
