| M2 Browning one of the oldest weapons in the US arsenal but i weapon to be feared. There is a reason those .50 bullets have made a name 85 years. And the Remington 700 probably one of the best a widely available guns you can find on the US civil market. And yet another weapon thats well proven by the army as well as hunters. It's a good choice if you live in a remote area in the US. |
| Japanese fans of the manga who made a comprehensive list of all of the weapons used by all of the characters pointed out that the Browning M2 50-caliber used by Sergeant Shachirof (シャチーロフ軍曹) was highly-suitable for use in conditions of extreme cold. That might be related to the title of today's episode. Apart from the microgun that we saw Sgt. Shachirof use in the previous episode, there is a third weapon that she uses in the manga. I don't know whether or not she will be using it during the TV anime series. In any case, it is an . . . (Warning: Major spoiler! You probably don't want to know this!) |

| I just noticed that, on the official Twitter account for the series, they have been putting out "Today's Military Term". It turns out that they have been doing this every day or two, going all the way back to when the series started airing. So, for example, today they mentioned the RPG-7 Rocket Grenade Launcher. Here is the English-language Wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-7 In today's tweet, they make a comment that appears to mean that the so-called guidance system of the RPG-7 depends mostly on luck. But I am not confident that I am translating it correctly. I don't know whether this is any kind of hint that we will see the RPG-7 appear soon in the anime. However, fans of the manga noted that it showed up. |
