| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Eh, I'm not sure how I feel about this. New character cast and a new OP song to go with it. Also, that red haired dude (I think his name is Chrono) is a lot more serious than I had expected. Eh, I think OST is decent though. I think that's Kamui? well, the kid's grown up! The match was alright I suppose. |

| OP song by Mamo omg <3 Chrono reminds me of Yusei from 5D's for some reason (and no it's not the crazy hair); too early to tell right now but animation and ost somewhat improved. Also grown up kamui and... Stride/triggers/guarding wasn't explained in detail, either they're gradually gonna explain it in future episodes or they assume people watching know the mechanics which doesnt really affect me but is definitely food for thought |
| The animation improved quite a bit no more cardboard cutout attacks. Chrono's hair started to grow on me the more I look at it the less weird it looks. Tokoha only had about 10 seconds of screen time and the fanboys already fell in love with her. |

| We get a new clan, Gear Chronicle. The new clan looks interesting. We finally get to see a grade 4 card which is awesome. And also Aichi gets a cameo appearance at the end. |

| I'm not sure how I feel about the main cast, but all I know that Chrono is a boss for blocking the road like that. I'm already starting to like him, well except for his pink swirl XD Speaking of Chrono, in this episode it was revealed that: -he is a loner -very ambitious -everybody is scared of him -he can cook (as shown from the preview) -he likes to stick up for the weak -very independent Maybe he will be an alright character in the future. :) Cameos of Morikawa, Izaki, and Kamui's friends...they haven't changed a bit :D Now all I need is my Miwa and Kai cameo and then I will be the happiest person alive. Holy crap! The sub manager sure did have a lot of baby kittens. They are all so cute~ Kamui sure has grown...in height. His personality is still the same to me. Ahhh, he barely changed in that three year time skip. The animations have improved by a bit, especially the fighting scenes. OMFG! *rubs my eyes constantly* IS THAT AICHI I SAW IN THE END?!...he also haven't changed a bit XD Yay! Then I guess that the old cast did not change. Whew! |
| AICHI!!!!!!!!!! Maybe this won't be so bad after all! Although Chrono reminds me way too much of Naoki (not that that's a bad thing, I just don't see why Naoki couldn't be MC instead :P) |

| Anyone notice how those kids that threw a vanguard deck off the roof just popped out at the bottom floor where chrono was almost instantly? The kid even shouted "hey" from the rooftop and then 10s bam at the bottom. BTW who was that douche-y looking girl that Chrono passed on the bridge at the end? looks like a faggot |

| Daaaaaang, it feels like I'm starting CFV all over again. @.@ So Chrono is our main for this series and he's completely different from Aichi when he started out. Anyway, I definitely noticed the improved animation and the I like the new OSTs. Hopefully, the animation remains relatively this good. It was sort of a shame they didn't explain the new concepts like Generation Stride and such, but I figure they'll explain it in the future episodes. It's crazy to see Kamui so tall now. And that Aichi tease at the end. Well, this season looks to be a fun one! :D |

| How is it that Kamui has gotten taller, while Aichi look as if he hasn't changed at all?...Well, not that they gave us a close look at him but it really seems like he hasn't changed at all in appearance. |
