| this take place 1000 of years after Victory Gundam. it exist in the same universe but you don't have to have watch any of the UC to have watch it. it only (so far) referances the old series (like a museum full of old Mobile Suits). |
| yeah i think you can watch G reco just fine, I really doubt anything is going to really be reliant on the universal century outside of a few references such as the muesam mentioned by komic |

And the direction... while the plot and story isn't fully exposed yet, i could feel that this anime is being directed by a skillful and experienced person.
