Stats
Every monster girl race has a base stat in each category:
You can add points to the base stats until you have 25 points (including base stats).
The character card will show your companion and/or character when it's at "max lvl", meaning that she isn't this strong at first but will become so over time.
- Strength: Physical strength/damage and resistance against physical attacks
- Agility: How agile/flexible she is. this also includes her general "speed" (e.g. running and attacking).
- Intelligence: Her knowledge, speaking abilities, ability to think. Lower intelligence also means relying more on basic instincts.
- Wisdom: Resistance against mental attacks and (special) abilities. Lower wisdom might be more scatterbrained.
- Constitution: Health and 'sturdyness'.
- Special: Control and strength of her (special) abilities.
- Sex drive/lust: How often she wants to have sex, use a 1% - 100% scale.
How the points are spent also depends on personality. If you have a girl that is smart but is also a figher you can't ignore intelligence as that would go against her personality. Notice that these points are just to define what your characters are good at and don't really matter that much.

You might have to explain what something does if it's unclear. This is generally meant for things like: likes teasing, cooking, expressionless or maybe something "minor" related to her magic or Abilities.
Different talents/traits and their meanings:
Weapon of Choice: Will or can only use one weapon and nothing else, thus is very proficient with it. Strong-willed: Exceptional charisma and strong will. Will resists charm and illusion spells directed towards the MG with this trait. Demon Blood: Is of demonic birth, meaning that demonic energy will have more positive and less negative effects on the MG. Educated: Good general knowledge about the island and creatures on it. Herbalist: Good knowledge of herbs and other natural substances with both positive and malicious effects. Survivalist: Good at surviving in the wild. Experimental Arrows: Can use different kinds of arrows, combusting ones for example. Ice Queen: Highest rank of ice magic. Combat Expertise/Fighter: Knowledgeable in combat. Hotheaded: Will easily berserk, reducing the effect of control spells on the MG. Mind Reader: Can read the mind of any human within ten meters of her. (Doppelganger race ability) Former Blackmoar: Feel no lust. (background in mdude's story) Armor Mastery: Doesn't suffer from wearing heavy armor. Brawler: Without a goal MGs with this trait just wander aimlessly looking for fights Combat savvy: A trait bound to "Brawler", Near-constant brawling has allowed the MG to develop a remarkable amount of fighting experience. What type of magic can I choose?
- If a girl has no magic, then she has "Magic: None".
- If a girl has any kind of magic, then she has eg. (Glacies; Magic: Cryomancy).
- MGs with undefined Magic powers can pick one school to use. Good example is an Inari. (Notice that it must still make sense).
- MGs with defined powers can't change magic school or add abilities.
- If a girl has natural ability like a dragon it would be like this (Dragon; Magic: Natural Ability).
- Natural Ability is no magic, but a specific race's specialty, like an organ from dragons to spit fire (element can vary), Alraune's Nectar, Ghouls Saliva or a Weresheep's fur. Slimes, for example, could also be inserted here, because they are able to use and transform their slime body in any possible way.
- If a girl has magic and a natural ability, like an Alraune (Naturemancy and Alraune Nectar), she has (Magic: Naturemancy + Nat. Ability).

IOW, the abilities defined by the MGE as common to a given type. These are the same for all members of that race.
It's the undefined abilities that this rule is intended to cover. For example, the fox girls are described as having magical power but there is little information about what kind. The schools of magic are intended to provide both definition and customization options for cases like this.
For example, Shirohebi are described as having "water magic" (hydromancy in our schools of magic) -- and no other form of magic. Therefore they don't get ki control, fireballs, sleep spells or any other forms of magic outside of hydromancy because the MGE doesn't grant them such abilities.
Likewise, a dragon companion gets pyromancy only to the point of being able to breathe fire, because that's what the MGE says she can do. If the player wants to customize that -- i.e. by choosing a different element (ice, lightning, etc.) or by letting her shape her flames (fire rings, for example), that's OK, too. But the MGE mentions no ability of dragons to cast wards over their hordes, so dragon companions can't do that. Feel free to give such abilities to a draconic main villain, though.
So, the clear answer to the question of what companions can do is, "whatever the MGE says they can do." If the MGE doesn't specify, pick a school of magic. If it does specify, that's what you're stuck with.

Sensation Mastery - Contrary to claims by President Lincoln, she can fool all of the people all of the time, at least where the senses are concerned.
Educated - Particular focus on trade and geography. She’s been everywhere, man.
Adept Mercantilist - Sells ice to yetis, water to mermaids, and crazy to Kaori.
Crybaby - She feels feels with fierceness. Will cry over anything from kicking furniture to spilling oatmeal.
