"It's time to look to a future filled with smiles, and I'll be smiling again. When we take that man there, and stick him in that box there, and slip him into that vile of acid there. Ohhhhhhhhhhh...........Well that was fun, who's for chinese?"
What can I say? I'm a huge fan of anime. I love watching many types of anime shows ranging from Dragonball Z, to Yugioh. Anime is where you can watch what can't really be in the live action and where some of the best shows are ever shown. I'm not really a manga person because I never really read any. I might one day buy a few from some of the shows that I watched like Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z and GT, Yugioh, etc., but for now I will just enjoy the anime. I do know some bits from some manga's for some anime's but not that much. As much as I love anime though; I have to admit that there are many big dumbass moments that many anime shows can have, especially; if it's a show that we grew-up with and we later come to realize some if their mistakes. They're not always a big issue or mistake, but sometimes they can always just leave us thinking, "why?" So, allow me to share with you all my top 15 dumbest present day anime moments. What I mean by present is by mistakes in anime shows from the past to today. 15. (G-Force: Guardians of Space)! Just Letting Ace's Father Die! Yeah, kind of shocking that no one talks about this. Now admitly; he's actually sacrificing himself for the Earth, so you could say that he's dying for a natural cause. However; what I take issue with here is that Ace finding out that his father is Red Impulse before he dies. I mean you'd think that they'd get someone else to try and give themselves up so Ace and his father can catch up. No one thinks to step in and take his place let alone go after him. Go, save him, he's in the sea. You still got time you little idiots. No, I take it back, Ace actually volunteers to take his place, but that's it. Even so, it was still a good cause hence why it's at its lowest on this list. 14. (Yugioh) Not Playing with the Actual Rules! Yeah, ya'll knew this was coming. On the one hand, it's actually easy to see why they would change up the rules in the anime from the actual card game. You need to find different ways to make the battle entertaining and keep it interesting, but that's not what I actually take issue with here. What I take issue with is the fake cards. Every time it looks like our favorite characters are about to loose they use some type of made-up card to drag it on. At first it looks like Joey is going to get slaughtered, but he uses a card called; Hyperefreshment. Then it looks like Kaiba is about to loose, but he uses a card called; Card of Demise. Then it looks like Yugi is 'bout to lose, but he uses a card called; Ragnarock. And there's still a million more fake cards on top of it. There's so many dadgun fake out's in this show you confuse it for the ending of Clue. Now, for a lot of people these fakes are a big complain but I put it pretty low on the list because honestly; I actually do like the fake's. Yeah, there's too many of them and it's kind of mind boggeling, but they do add a few twists on everything. Hell, they've actually made some cards that were actually fake into real cards. So in all, I can't be too angry at them. Maybe, a little angry, and a little spooked. 13. (Steel Angel Kurumi) Master, Master, Master! Now, when I first watched Steel Angel Kurumi, I fell in love with the show, and with the characters. Even the story itself was freaking damn good. It's probably one of the most entertaining and even a bit of tragic stories that I've ever seen, but there is one problem with it. Why the hell does Kurumi keep calling Nakahito, master, especially; when all the other Steel Angel's call their creators by their names? Hell, Kurumi kisses Saki to reawaken her and she calls her by her name and not mistress. Doesn't that sound a little weird? Now granted, it would make sense that Kurumi would call Nakahito in the beginning master since he did awaken her by kissing her and she has no idea what's going on at first until everything's explained, but good God. You think that Nakahito would tell Kurumi to stop calling him master, and by his actual name. Now, this isn't a big issue with the story because honestly; I grew accustom to it. Yeah, I do wish that Nakahito would actually step-up and be a man by asking Kurumi to call him by his actual name, but what you gonna do? Nevertheless; it's still a great show, a great anime, and I still love it. 12. (Inuyasha) Miroku's Idiot Moments! Now when you're making an anime from a manga it's always a big issue if your character, or one of your character's, or hell all of them are a big slate, and with one as popular as Inuyasha for it being a manga based on a fudel era of Japan that's in a world filled with demons. It's always best to give some humor to your characters and make them funny, and not just too serious all the time, understandable enough. But good, God! What did you do to Miroku? "Would you consider bearing my children?" When Miroku first came in he had a sense of honor to him and he had a very reasonable motivation for hunting down Naraku and killing him, because of the Wind Tunnel in his right hand. Hell, the Wind Tunnel almost makes him invinsible since anything that get's sucked in would die and never come out like a black hole as Kagome described it as. However; as the show went on he just got more stupid, more idiotic, and most of the time, he was even acting like a bastard by asking any beautiful woman that he laid his eyes on by flirting with them and asking them to bear his children, both including Kagome and Sango even though Sango did agree to be with him when everything was over with. That even made him even more stupid because even after Sango accepted his proposal he continued to flirt with other women, what a cheating bastard. Hell, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he was put on the sex offender list, the guy freaking even had the gull to ask an eleven year old, a freaking eleven year old to bear his children, dude; that's sick. He went from being his own unique flavor of badass to just silly comic relief. Thank God he did have his badass moments during the show as well, if not all he would had been was just a stupid, idiotic, bastard who had no moral sense whatsoever. "Would it be any surprise to you if I told you I haven't even laid a finger on the girl?" 11. (Inuyasha) Shippo's Innocent Moments! If one character can be to flawed or perfect, then another can be too innocent. Now, when Shippo first came in he had a good sense of courage, wasn't afraid to throw himself in harms way, and even looked up to Kagome as a big sister since she would always defend him whenever Inuyasha picked on him. Hell, at the beginning of his intro, he attempts to steal Kagome and Inuyasha's jewel shards to fight the Thunder Brother's who killed his father to get revenge and would actually try to attack them and even throws himself in harms way to save Kagome. However; much like Miroku, as the show progressed that courage pretty much went away and he turned into a big crybaby coward. Now, I know I'm being a little harsh on him because he is just a kid and all, but if you're gonna make a person, even a kid be show to have courage and valor in him, let's see it stay in him throughout the story. Let's not take this the wrong way though because I actually do like Shippo, I just wish we could had seen his courage develop and maybe have a time of him actually maybe standing up to Naraku, or maybe some other big bad demon. Actually; there were some episodes later on when he would try to fight back with his fox fire, but not only did that not do any good but he would then retreat and one away like a dog with a tail between its legs. Shippo, you're to good to be true, and that's precisely the problem. 10. (Dragonball Z) Tien & Chosue's Disappearence! Now I know that this one is kind of weird to get at since Tien does come back near the end of the Evil Buu Saga to help the gang fight off Evil Buu and we see them both at the end of GT, but here's the thing, THAT'S THE ONLY TIME YOU SEE THEM AFTER GT IS AT ITS END. What the Hell? Tien and Chosue don't even show up at the tournament and yet, Yamcha does. Actually I take that back, we do see them another time in GT after the defeat of Baby, but that's it. I mean what was going on with those two? Sure yeah; they were trained by Goku's enemy from Dragonball, but they did become worthy adversaries and you think they would show up more often. Now, it is understandable enough that they would want to live a solitary life and train on their own and everything but my God, did they just decide to leave them out? I mean they did help out a lot in the beginning and everything. They helped fight against Nappa and Vegeta, they joined in on the fight against the androids, (except Chosue who stayed at Master Rochies), against cell, (again except Chosue), and Tien came in to help fight Buu. So, why didn't they come in at all in GT to help or appear more often in Dragonball Z? It still makes no sense whatsoever after everything else had happen and I still don't get. 9. (Any Anime) Those Annoying Characters! If there's one thing I can't stand in anime its characters who are annoying as hell. They slow down the story/episode, they make people lose interest in the show itself, and most of them drag their annoyance on for several episodes. Some of the most annoying characters are; Naruto with his damn Sexy Jutsu that's way beyond annoying and stupid. Miroku's perverted nature and I don't think I need to remind anyone of the reason why. Serena's crybaby nature even though she does get more braver and loving later on and I do like her for the record, but the most annoying character of them all is of course; Majin Buu. Oh my God, out of all the great villains from Dragonball Z, not only did I hate this villain but I found him to be the most annoying ever. He wasn't a badass or had a great motive like Freiza and Cell did, he just simply lived to destroy and eat junk food. To top all that off, he freaking had the personality of a 5 year old, who's idea was that? I mean, we get all this buildup about Buu being this vessel of complete domination and destruction who destroys planets and galaxies and what did we get? A freaking vessel made of some guu with a personality of a bad kid. When they buildup this character I was thinking of something dark and horrifying, not a 5 year old. However; I will give Buu some credit that the stuff that he is made out of does actually make him nearly indestructible and when his evil side emerged, and absorbed Gotenks, Piccallo, and Gohan, I thought he was kind of badass. However; when he was reduced again to Kid Buu that really went down hill again. So, while he was indestructible really, I wish we could have had a better personality instead of a freaking 5 year old. Need I say anymore? 8. (Any Anime) I'm Not Dead! As the Nostalgia Critic once said, "there's a saying that nobody dies in tv, that there's always a way to bring a popular character back." This is very true, especially; in anime, and probably the show that exploited that theory the most was Yu Yu Hakusho. Now, I know some would probably say that it would be Dragonball Z since a lot of people did die including the characters and brought back to life with the dragonball's but Yu Yu Hakusho, as perfect show it is does definetly exploit this theory. First they think Yusukue is dead. Hallelooya! Then they think Genkai is dead. Hallelooya! Then they think Tugaro is dead. Hallelooya! Then they think Kuwabara is dead. Hallelooya! Then they think Yusukue is dead, again. Hallelooya! Good God, and I thought the Lord of the Rings had too many fake outs this is like a new world record. Hell, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the people who wrote the manga were thinking of giving Yusukue a hat trick for death fake outs. Again, as the Nostalgia Critic said, "nothing like walking through the valley of the shadow of death, when that valley is pretty far. That is freaking ridicoulues!" 7. (Yugioh 5D's) That Damn Card Nariation! Now, origionally I was gonna go with the multi-parters that's in this series but I decided not to because while there are far too many of them they actually do serve a purpose in the show. However; the card nariation is just freaking stupid and it really has no purpose. Now, there are a couple of times when it can be necessary like when we're introduced to a new card for the first time or it mentions a certain effect of that monster, but what I really hate is when they mention the name of the monster, its level, its attribute, and blah, blah, blah. it's annoying as hell, especially; if they do it with a monster that we've already seen. need I say anymore? It slows down the action, the show, just everything. 6. (Pokemon) Team Rocket's Motto! Yeah, ya'll knew this was coming. This has got to be not only the most stupid but also the most pointless thing to have in an anime, especially; when its in every single freaking episode. I mean, my God; it's so freaking pointless it makes the card narriation look like an after affect. Now, to be fair when it was first introduced when we first met them it was intriguing to see that they had their own code and lived through that code with a motto with it and when they aded the, "prepare for trouble, make it double," to it, it was cool. However; it wore out real fast and slowed down the show and action big time, especially; when it always took like a minute to get through the entire motto. It also didn't help when they once in a while either changed it up or would have some type of backround that would just make it longer. Next time we have something like this added in an anime, I think just once or twice would be sufficiant, or they might make someone like Ash become a nuisiance, speaking of which. Now, since I'm such a huge anime person. Allow me to enlist ya'll my top 10 animated series of all time. 10. Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou 9. Sailor Moon 8. High School DXD 7. Mobile Suit G Gundam 6. Teen Titans 5. Claymore 4. Yugioh 5D's 3. Inuyasha 2. Dragonball Z and GT 1. Yu Yu Hakusho Honerable Mentions: .hack//sign Cardcaptors Pokemon G-Force: Guardians of Space |

These song (the actual song is OK) lyrics even end up being a lie if taken in the context of Crystal instead of the 90's anime: http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/smoonc/kakumei.htm
Kinda understand what I mean now? About podcasting, it's a good idea but I'm not too confident in my own voice...
But like I said, I'm afraid I might not care for the manga anymore, I want to like it, but most of the arcs aged as well as milk.
Even some of the recent Crystal reviews (two being posted yesterday) are crazy, I feel horrible for the reviewer giving it 10/10 claiming the feelings were "more deeper than the 90's anime" and such...
Agreed, the two of them do go hand in hand, maybe you could compare the two or something, I think this series is similar to Megaforce/Super Megaforce.
What I mean is, what do you think of this article here (along with this article where they say "What was wrong with 90's Sailor Moon that has a link there in this one?): https://unicornofwar.wordpress.com/2016/05/27/what-was-wrong-with-sailor-moon-crystal/#comment-93
I disagreed in parts and eventually I just gave up trying to talk with them as I felt like they didn't like reading words or thoughts that weren't their own, and despite them saying they loved the original Sailor Moon, I don't believe them the way they worded stuff.
Yup, I know why you love Jupiter, she is such a badass. Wish we saw all the Sailors fighting like the Power Rangers hand to hand more though (kinda similar to PGSM in a way)...
Wow, it's amazing, is it a reference to Linkara's Operation Overdrive Once a Ranger review (Linkara REALLY got pissed off there, I'd be really enraged too, and I actually feel that way knowing how bad it is, I feel ya)? And you pretty much hit the nail on the head about what's wrong with this and unfortunately the manga story too...I'd rather watch Once a Ranger again, along with all of Overdrive, at least it's enjoyable with how bad it is (and yeah, Crystal really doesn't have that much action, most of the "fighting scenes", which aren't improvements on the 90's anime, are too short)!
If you use this, I'd recommend changing some of the phrases though so it doesn't sound like plagiarism.
I did link it already, but what did you think of that "What was wrong with [90's] Sailor Moon Crystal?" Both of those articles in my opinion were terrible. If you want, I'll link it again.
Another great badass moment was when Mercury destroyed that Black Crystal Endymion had, she had who knows how many badass moments...
Sadly I think this whole reboot may be forgotten as time passes, or it'll just be remembered in a bad light.
DBZ came out round about 1989, Sailor Moon, 1992. Yeah, I've heard Toei's kinda strict with copyright, how is Nemesis being destroyed a plot hole just wondering? It's so confusing to understand Naoko's work at times.
Yeah, Crystal doesn't offer enough as a whole to recommend a purchase.
It's OK, we make mistakes sometimes.
Oh, that's what it was (it still showed the two kissing in the vision though, so that's why I think it was just Wiseman messing with her). Yeah, I can see what it's doing to yah, that whole incest thing is making me question what Naoko was thinking, and even shitty Sailor Moon hentai parodies like Venus 5 were/looked better animation wise than this!
That's good, and that's a good idea of doing a "History of Sailor Moon". Honestly, I think some people have been very blind and ignorant though, someone tried to tell me Moon Pride was not a lie because "it was about the Sailors being a team" and Mamoru was "more of a Gary Stu in the 90's anime (why do people complain about his flaws then?)"...but considering that Crystal lost ratings because of people leaving (not because of others trying to damage the ratings or moving to different website thingies) I think most Sailor Moon fans know it is terrible...
Yeah, I never understand how the Sailors are able to fly. People claim "it's a magical girl thing" or something but it's a lame excuse, they're probably in denial or something or blinded by their love for the manga, which isn't all that great.
Yeah, I don't (Sunrise actually did Inuyasha and Gundam though) understand how Toei could screw up royally here. Yeah, the original anime was not perfect (animation styles changing, story flaws like the aforementioned break up), but it still was way better than this. Yeah, I'm not sure if Usagi even has a rea; personality or something now, instead of her maturing, I just see her becoming a bland Mary Sue. In fact, she's even dumber than the original Moon, claiming Chibi-Usa was "just another woman" to Mamoru...
Yeah, there are no risks in this reboot compared to the original anime, the original really felt like the stakes were high and such, especially with Black Moon, Death Busters and even Stars. What's sad with season 3 is it started off strong but the final battle at the end fell flat on its face at the end.
Another good thing R did fortunately was turn that disgusting Mamoru (why did they have to make him evil AGAIN) x Black Lady kiss into an illusion instead of it just being there, that made me question Takeuchi, and it just goes to show the manga sadly didn't age well.
No problem, and thank you, I'm glad to see we've got something in common. Dead Moon Circus is darker and doesn't have as much action and such as the other film (which is awesome), but it's still great and shows what SuperS should have been.
I'd say it's a good idea to bash on this anime (if you make a video I'll see it if you leave a link), if any one of those Crystal/manga purists flames, trolls, (cyber)bullies you and leaves you butthurt opinion disrespecting comments or violence/death/sexually harassing (I actually found one like that, no joke) threats, I will troll them and report them. I'm thinking of doing a similar rant on how some people claim the Inners in the original anime "were useless a lot of the time", yet I've seen the opposite.
Yeah, honestly looking at it overall Crystal was just a (even the original anime, which improved on the manga, minus SuperS, looked more like the manga than Crystal does) marketing tool that seems to me to be pandering to manga purists/fanboys, and honestly when I read comments of them saying "they love the 90's anime" but they're throwing shit at it and saying Crystal is better, I don't think they're being honest.
Was the Sailor Moon fan film this one (there's another great one called Dead Moon Circus, in two parts): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNOMgaAHYSw
The fans for the reboot are really horrible too, trust me, I actually made a DA journal on how bad they are: http://seiya-meteorite.deviantart.com/journal/What-is-wrong-with-the-Sailor-Moon-Crystal-fandom-612208901
I even ended up getting into a pointless discussion with this article, I gave up talking even to this obvious manga purist who's incredibly biased towards the manga (I commented on the 90's article below too and it's crappy): https://unicornofwar.wordpress.com/2016/05/27/what-was-wrong-with-sailor-moon-crystal/#comment-93
Season III is fairly decent, better than the first two, but it still has the flaws the manga had. I don't understand how some people praise it also, it's still overrated (just wondering, who's your favorite of the Sailors? I don't think they did her justice in season III).
Hey there! Merry... whatever the fuck you you want! XD Not everyone likes Christmas apparently, so how about I just wish you to have a good, relaxing holiday? :P
I can't make a personal message for everyone unfortunately, that would take forever. But hey, I still wanted to have something to give to all the beautiful people I've met so far thanks to this community.
Maybe you've been reading my novel on MAL, maybe you are the one who sent me something made from you, like a novel or fanarts. Or well, maybe we're just buddies that like to talk about anime/manga or hobbies in general, why not? XD
I wanted to make something with my own hands, so I decided to make a small drawing of the two main characters of my novel. It's 110% Paint made, so I put hours of effort on it. I know it doesn't look very good, but I haven't drawn anything in the last 8 years XD
I hope that it will be enough to make you smile a bit at least. :P
Once again, thank you for everything. I'll be looking forward to new funny and interesting conversation for the next year as well!
See ya ^^
