He always had a hard life. He graduated the academy at age 7, mastered Sharigan at age 8 etc . Then age 13 he became an ANBU..
So at age 13, he lost faith in the Uchiha because they were planinng to overtake Konoha causing the 4th Great Shinobi war. As a pasicifst Itachi was, he desirerd peace and killed his clan for the sake of the Ninja world. Though he could not kill his brother, and spared him. But Itachi did not tell his little brother because Itachi felt guilt (but hid it) for slaying his clan and wanted to die right next to Sasuke. Itachi joined the Akatsuki so that he will protect Konoha and Sasuke from them . BUt when his death approached, he could not keep Konoha nor his brother safe. Sasuke is sooo dumb! Does he not know that doing this causing the 4th Great Shinobi war, people will feel the same as him! They'll lose important lives! Sasuke only cares about himself!
Itachi didn't have to die! :( And he avoided antibiotics. I wonder if medical ninjutsu could of saved him.. probably not anyways since it's the Mangekyo he's suffering from.
