Anyway, that's just a camrip with subs, I'll be waiting for a proper version. Not gonna watch NGE like this haha.

It was piss poor quality. Animation was blurred and darkened, there was a low buzzing sound throughout, and every sound echoed.

I'm watching the proper version when it comes out. Wow. I've never watched something of this low quality before.

And the subtitles were also...yeah.
It's rather smart to use black subtitles in NGE, since there are no dark scenes. ESPECIALLY NOT IN A CAM-RIP. Srsly, what were they thinking?
But other than that, for a cam-rip, I think the quality's okay. Although in the fight Shogoki/Sachiel I was only able to see Shogoki because the green armour-pieces were glowing like whoa, lol.
I think the sound's fine, too. At least it doesn't make my ears bleed, which is probably a good sign. xD

Found the subs easy enough to read, kinda disapointed in the actual film since it was pretty much the first few episodes just with the odd updated graphics now and then.

Things were changed around. Especially the end, with he 5th kid/17th angel Kaworu. And all animation was completely updated and redone. It just didn't seem like it because it was a horrible rip.

The quality was decent, but it made the movie not look that impressive. I'm sure the DVD rip is going to be amazing though. Also, where the hell was Fly me to the moon? I watched the whole thing and didn't hear it.

Here's a screenshot for anyone who's curious about the quality.

Great film, that introduces really well Evangelion, and the new scenes really catch the atmosphere and mood of the title, almost as if Anno directed the film (which he didn't). Looking forward to the second film which will be much different from the series from what I saw in the preview.

Anno isn't directing these?

ANNO ISN'T DIRECTING THESE?!

WHAT?! IS THIS TRUE?!

YEEEEESSSSSSS!

WOOOOOHHH YEEYAYEYAYAEYAYEYEYA!!!!!!

Now we can expect:

1)Understandable and intriguing plot, as opposed to nonsensical attempts at psychology and unnecessary nudity.

2)Angels that actually do something besides reading the Eva users mind.

3)Battles, as opposed to Eva's being brought out and then destroying the Angels with their mentality.

4) A good understandable ending.

Wooooooh!

These movies are gonna be awesome.

what are you talking about? the plot made perfect sense, and while the ending was abstract, if you think about it a bit you can easily come to an understanding of it.

as for the battles, they wernt the greatest, but they wernt bad enough to be complaining about >.>

I should've explained. I was talking about 20-24 and some parts of the earlier episodes (17-19.)

The first really crappy battle was the Inverted AT-field shadow in the sky thing that swallowed Shinji and mind-****ed him, then the giant white winged thing which invaded Asuka's mind, then the string of light which made Rei explode.

You'll also see as the series progressed more and more nudity and "garbage" scenes which didn't cost much to make and were explained as being "psychological." Sure, some parts of it were psychological, but they were understandable. The rest was garbage that didn't make sense because there was nothing to understand.

If it doesn't follow the psychological abnormal fights with an unusual ending then it just wouldn't be NGE now would it?

Might as well go back to watching some other generic mech anime.

No there were actual psychology themes in NGE that I had no problem with. It's the rest of the garbage "psychology" that I have a problem with.

I didn't really like it. they deleted some parts from the series, and that would make the rest less understandable if this was someone's 1st introduction to NGE.

I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting *so* much from this and it turns out to be almost exactly like the series. I counted a few different scenes and the visuals are amazingly lush but that is about it. On the other hand "Beautiful World" is much better than "Fly Me to the Moon".
Oh and You are (not) Alone already introduces Kaworu early on. Always a plus, as far a I can tell
