THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
I knew who the fake person was the very moment I saw an accessory of theirs :D Too obvious, lol. Anyway, sad end for Mitsuru. The world can be very cruel at times.

So the anime is asking us to believe:

1. The calls to the one dude was a fool proof way to get him to leave the room during the demons banquet. That's ridiculous to assume he'd just get up and leave losing his alibi, what if he didn't? There would no longer be a scapegoat, in practice ruining the entire plan.

2. That no one else would shake literally anything, even accidentally shaking something too much, since everything had cyanide in it. What if someone dropped something and still drank it? What if someone felt like having a shower, they would die from that snake, or what if the OCD guy actually saw the snake and ran? This is plausible but it's just as ridiculous as the first point.

3. How in the world did Gotouda set up the victim to have a knife over her throat set up with candles, and have the radio play at the perfect time. If he had it playing literally all the time it would of knocked off the pot early, not to mention someone would of turned it off. I take it we should assume she turned on the radio herself? If that's the case then there's also the possibility of her just not listening to that, or skipping the song. And how would that mechanism had been set up on her like that if nobody was even around to do that? Magic?

4. How did all the students plan to kill Mitsuru the way they did, if her lover wasn't working with them and abruptly gave her a spot at the concert hall. This part only makes sense if all four of them are involved, they didn't all accidentally set her up, it was proven they did it on purpose, but how did they have the time to do that if he sprung that on her on the fly?

5. We are meant to assume at best, that Mitsuru told the maid/her sister that everyone planned to kill her, but if she did that she would of told her that her lover wasn't involved, so this part makes no sense either. She should either not know that her accident was planned, or she should know and not try to kill her lover.

So we see again, the setup and case are interesting, the tricks are awesome, the cast and their interactions are fun, but the conclusion is absolute trash. If I'm making any false accusations here, or if I'm just misunderstanding something let me know, but jesus this anime's laziness can be really frustrating sometimes. For such a great case to end like this is a travesty.

It was probably not hard to figure out those "coincidences". Anyone would ask why there was not enough gas in the car or why she had no winter clothing. So the sister did that and as such assumed that all other four students were involved.

I agree with the other points...and I really don't get how Gouda killed the woman. He wasn't there, so when did he put her to sleep?

And also the other flaw I mentioned in the previous post. Normally, bodyguards would be in front and behind the target. They weren't for whatever reason and only because of that was he able to slip away for some time. Pretty unlikely.

I still don't get how the first death is automated. If the broken pieces of the pot were brought from outside, then how can he who is nowhere near the mansion can commit the murder?
