You know, I've read many reviews and comments about Texhnolyze... many people say that it's only for "visual' fans" of good animation' style and has some pseudophilosophy that makes people think it's for smart asses, but doesn't have any sense -- well animated pseudointellectual stuff that is hollow inside.
But I think that people just look for somehing Texhnolyze does not have... it has no philosophy at all, only the main theme (people = animals) revealing more and more in an excellent way. And the author does NOT want people to do something or to think something by telling this story. It's like... it's like telling about fact, and you can do whatever you want with this.
Psychology? Yes, but definitely NOT philosophy. And no goddamn implications, it's as simple as "2+2=4"!

You can view it that way of course, should watch it like that at some point.

But....we are still wired to make connections, rationalize, analyze, put into patterns. Even if the intent was not to show the data , it is still there.

You can choose whether or not to look at it and interpret it in your own way.

There are DEFINITELY philosophical statements about humanity laced all throughout Texhnolyze. I can;t even remembered how many times man and machine are contrasted throughout. Machine's pretending to have humanity, and men pretending to be evolved beyond "mere humans."
